Chapter 7: Stuck Like Glue

*Amy's POV*

Alyssa and I started to make our way to the Chinese place in the food court. There was such a long line considering it was lunch time. I decided to make a move.

Amy-"Hey Alyssa, is it okay if I ask you something?"

A-"Yeah sure! What's up?"

Amy-"Since Nick and I want to adopt Maura, can you please tell me about her past?"

A-"Of coarse. Maura's really nice, sweet, and loving. She doubts herself a lot and always needs a boost of encouragement. Her mom committed suicide because of her Dad, who is a whole different story. Her dad abuses her and she honestly doesn't deserve it. Why would someone want to her someone like Maura." A few tears streamed down her face. "She has been bullied her whole life in so many ways and she hates to go to school because she's tired of the bullies. Maura is such a good singer too, like incredible. And Amy....if I tell you something, you promise not to tell Maura you know?"

Amy-"Of coarse love, I won't tell her." I placed my thumb on her cheek and wiped her tears away.

A-"She...she self harms and has an eating disorder. She's tried to end her life many times, but because of you and Nick, she never did. Thank you for saving her life." By then I was crying. I was so speechless I just hugged Alyssa.

It was our turn in line. I ordered some lo mien and orange chicken, while Alyssa ordered pork fried rice, crabmeat ran goons, and beef teriyaki. We paid for our meals and headed back to the table we were going to meet Nick and Maura at. We both sat down and I realized Maura wasn't really eating her pizza. As everyone at our table watched, I got up and went to hug Maura. She got up and accepted my hug. As we were hugging, I whispered in her ear, "Please try to eat for me babe, I love you." She instantly replied with, "Ill try" I real eased her from my grip, gave her a reassuring smile, and headed back to my seat. I saw Maura out of the corner of my eye pick up her slice of pizza slowly and she took small bites. One by one, taking her time. She ate half of what was in front of her and said,"I'm full" I smiled really big and said,"I'm proud of you."

*Maura's POV*

I think Amy knew about my eating disorder..just great. I ate to make her happy but my demons were getting to me. They wouldn't shut up, but I assured them that I would throw it up after. All four of us went to throw our trays away. After, Amy said, "I got a surprise for you girls! How would you both like to come to our concert tonight? You can come backstage with us, meet all of team Karmin, and then someone will bring you to front row and stay with you for the show." I was so so so excited this is my dream. Are you sure I'm not dreaming right now? Alyssa and I looked at each other in shock. In unison, we both said, "Yes!!!" Amy said we have to hurry back to the hotel to get ready if we wanna make it in time. With that we headed on our way back.

-Time skip to when they get home-

*Amy's POV*

I helped Maura and Alyssa pick out their outfits. Maura wore a pink long sleeve crop top and white high waisted shorts. Alyssa wore a black t shirt and blue pants. When I was done putting on my white and red Nebraska long sleeve shirt and jeans, I asked Maura and Alyssa if they wanted to give each other makeovers. They both agreed and I ran to get my makeup bag. Nick was probably in the other room getting ready because he's pretty slow at it. Alyssa and Maura did my makeup; winged eyeliner, fake lashes, mascara, and red lipstick....the usual! I did both of theirs just like mine aw we were all twinning, how cute!! We grabbed our purses and Nick of coarse and headed out to the car. The beginning of the second leg of our tour is finally here and we get to spend it with the girl we cherish the most.
