Chapter 4: Too Many Fish

*Alyssa's POV*

Can Maura just call me back? I'm getting really worried. The thought crossed my mind that she could be gone. I feel like my heart got ripped to pieces.

Amy's POV*

I wake up the next morning in the same position I fell asleep in; Maura in my arms. She's so beautiful and I didn't want to wake her up because she looked so peaceful. I slowly unwrapped my arms around her cautiously, not to wake her up. I slowly made my way to the kitchen and the clock read 10:30. Damn, did I really sleep this late? Probably because we finally have a day off from touring. Tomorrow Nick and I will hit the road to NJ. A brilliant idea came to my head. "Hey, I should make breakfast for all of us!" I thought to myself. It took me about an hour, but I finally finished making bacon, eggs, toast, home fires, and more bacon!

*Nick's POV*

I woke up to the smell of bacon; my favorite food. I've realized Amy has a special connection to Maura. I walked to the kitchen and saw Amy getting plates out so we could have a buffet. "Hey babe" I say to the love of my life and gently kiss her soft lips. "Good morning sunshine" Amy said will a smile and kissed me back. "Come on, let's eat. I don't wanna wake Maura up and we never really have a nice peaceful breakfast together, come on!" I grab a plate and pile a whole bunch of delicious bacon, some eggs, and two pieces of toast. Then I take a seat across from Amy and start a conversation.

-"you know we continue the tour tomorrow, right? What are we gonna do about her?"

A- "I can't send her back to her dad. He abuses her and she honestly doesn't deserve that. She's so beautiful and previous I can't let her go."

- "Well what do we do?" There was a long silence after that.

A-"Nick, I want to adopt her. I want to take her in and she can be our baby girl. We've always wanted a daughter right? We need to do this, it's the right thing."

-"If it's what you want to do, I'm cool with it. She seems nice, friendly, and smart..why not?"

A-"Yay!! I knew you would come through! When she wakes up and has something to eat, we can talk to her about it."

*Marua's POV*

I woke up to an empty bed. I remember last night I slept in Amy's arms. She left me, I know I should've listened to them. "She's never coming back." "You weren't good enough for her" "Come back to us, we will never leave you" They taunted me to the point where I couldn't make them shut up. "Make it stop!" I yelled while crying. I was about to run for the bathroom, when Amy and Nick came running in.

*Amy's POV*

I heard Maura crying. "Nick come on something might be wrong!" We got into my room and she was about to run to the bathroom. I caught her just in time. "Hey baby, shhh. It's okay I'm here and so is Nick." I pulled her into a big hug tightly, not letting her go. As I was doing that, i could see her wrists were covered in scars, some even brand new. I'll have to talk to her about it later. She was mumbling something I couldn't really make out, but it sounded like, " You were going to leave me. Just let me go, you don't want me." I tried to calm her down. "No no, we weren't going to leave you, I would never. Nick and I love you." I sat down on the bed and pulled her in my lap. I whispered to Nick, "Come over here. We are gonna sing Coming Up Strong." By the time we finished singing, she calmed down. I hate seeing her upset.

- "Maura, we wanted to ask you something."

M- "Of coarse, what's up?"

A- "Nick and I, we wanted to know if you would like to like with us permanently. We want to adopt you."

*Maura's POV*

I was smiling so big. "I would love to stay with you guys. But can you promise me something?"

A- "What is it baby girl?"

- "Promise me you'll never leave me if I turn out to be somebody you don't want." Amy and Nick looked at each other and nodded.

A- "We promise. You are the daughter we've always wanted."

Did Amy and Nick say they wanted me, out of all the people in this world, to be their daughter?
