Chapter 23 : Trouble Trouble Trouble

Barry opens his eyes and looks at the clock. He smiles by his own. Within a second he gets ready and heads towards CCPD. He reaches there after 2 minutes. Barry goes to his office and was shocked. Hunter was there. Captain Singh was talking with him. Both of them notices him coming.
Captain:Hey Barry! I have someone to introduce...meet Dr.Zolomon
Barry: Yeah I know him. We've met before!
Captain: Is it so? Dr.Zolomon is here to help us about a case. We need a really good doctor to examine...
Before he could finish his sentence Barry interrupts.
Barry: Excuse me, but don't we always bring Dr.Snow if we need any doctor? Last time she did am amazing job! And when it comes to the fact of a REALLY good doctor then I think Dr.Snow is perfect!
Captain: Yeah I know. But Barry Dr.Snow was apparently busy this time with something and that's why she can't handle this case. We told her we need a really good doctor who can do this perfectly. Then she recommended us about Dr.Zolomon
Barry looks at them.
Barry: She said this?
Captain: Barry I know you're closer with Dr.Snow than us but right now you've to focus on the case. Dr.Zolomon and you're partners for this case. As you're a forensic reporter I think you'll be able to help him a lot.
Barry nods his head and goes to Hunter.
Hunter: Hello Mr....? Barry: Allen. Barry Allen
Hunter: How small the world is! I didn't know you're a forensic reporter. The day I saw you in STAR labs at first I thought you're a scientist.
Barry: Well I am. In STAR labs and isn't forensic reporter is kinda scientist?
Hunter : Haha not really. When I saw you first I thought you were Caitlin's boyfriend then she told me she's single.
Barry widens his eyes. He tries to not react.
Hunter: You know what...just as partners! We're partners now and should share everything!
Barry: Yes we should! So we can start working now?
Hunter: Sure

Caitlin got fresh. She looks at the clock. 8 pm! It's been a stressful day. She sits on the couch and calls Barry. He picks up the phone before the first ring.
Barry: Hey Cait! *He says excitedly*
Caitlin: Hey Barry. How was your day.
Barry: Fine. But if you want me to be honest then no.
Caitlin: Why?
Barry: You passed the case? C'mon you know how important the case is! Cait this case is a national case. Do you know how much it means to CCPD? To central city? To me?
Caitlin: Yes I know. I definitely know. But I recommended them about Dr.Zolomon who is equally an amazing doctor.
Barry: You don't even know that person! Just so he looks like Jay doesn't mean we've to interact with him! And in the case of amazing doctor,if he's so amazing then why does he need your help? Everyone knows who's the best doctor in Central city.
Caitlin: Barry...
Barry: I even have to listen to his shitty talks for like I don't even know how long he'll take to examine.
Caitlin: Barry I just.. couldn't do it.
Barry: Cait I've a very strong feeling you're hiding something.
Caitlin: Barry can we stop talking about him?
Barry: Tell me what you're hiding! Cait you're lying with me because of that lame doctor?
Caitlin: Barry...you know that you get paid a lot by the state for participating in a national case!
Barry: Yeah and that's why I'm asking you. It'd be a great achievement in your life too!
Caitlin: Hunter wanted to do it! He called to check on the project and suddenly he was talking about how it's his dream to participate in a national case. Caitlin:Barry I do a lot of works there. Maybe I can give this man a chance. Look it's not that bad. His dad will start talking with him.
Barry: I don't know! Are you like a social worker?*sarcastically*

Barry:I'll talk with you later. I need some moment. He hangs up the phone. Caitlin takes the phone back from her ear. She sighs and looks blankly at the walls sadly.
