[Caitlin's P.O.V]

I open the front door and take the newspaper. As my eyes checked out the headlines I walked back inside the house, to the kitchen. A bottle of milk stand still on the table and some breads beside it. I turn on the coffee machine. My fingers ran on the silk robe I was wearing.

"Caitlin have you seen my blue shirt?" His voice echoed around the house.

"Check the laundry basket" I said in a calm voice.

The machine stops and I take the mug of black coffee I desperately needed. As I take the first sip, electricity goes down my skin.

"So when is the reservation tonight?" He was behind me now, I heard as he poured some milk for himself in a cup.

"Seven," I answered. "Are you gonna be late?"

He releases a deep breath in a form of sight. "Eight would be better."

I sit by the kitchen bar and pick up the phone. "Eight then. Just don't be late."

"Hey so you know how I've been talking about this promotion I'm supposed to get?" He sits beside me with a plate of bread and fruits.

"Yeah" I took another sip from my coffee.

"I think it'll also get me transferred. I just don't know what you think about it." He looks at me.

"It's great. I mean I've been trying to get us an apartment for a long time and New York seems to be a really crowded place for us to get an apartment with vacant space," I put down the cup, " Cities outside New York are more peaceful."

He chuckles. "I don't understand why you hate New York so much."

"Are you kidding?" I hiked my eyebrows and half smiled, "This is the definition of hell. So crowded and noise everywhere. It's still a surprise to me how I came here following you."

"Because you love me" he smiles and leans forward to kiss me.

I softly press my lips against his.

"I know how much you love the job of yours," he says, "do you think you can ask for transfer?"

"Yes unless it's some small town in South where everybody knows each other from birth." I replied and laughed.

"Look Mercury Lab is an international organization with more than 200 branches. Not only if I change States but I'll still be able to keep the job if I move to Malaysia." I said with a voice of confidence which gave him relief.

We finished our breakfast and cleaned up together and he left for work kissing my goodbye. It's my free day today so I'm still in my robe. I wander around the house. He got this place from his office. We'd never be able to afford this place by our own. It's a duplex house with three bedrooms and 2 bath. There's also a beautiful garden in backyard and a garage for two cars. We both make decent living though. We both are scientist. He works in the New York police department as their forensic reporter and I work for Mercury Lab. We've been trying to get our own place for a long time but we just can't find the right house.

More like I.

The transfer is gonna be good for me. We'll finally get out of this hell hole and live in a decent city. I looked down at my hand, a piece of stone worthy so much sparked by the ray of sunshine which came from window. I gently brush it with the tip of my finger. It's made of diamonds, I don't remember how much. I just remember when he bent the knee in front of me and my heart beating like crazy. I was so nervous. As he took out this ring from behind his back and popped the question, my heart still undecided. I was so scared of saying the wrong thing. Not knowing whether to say yes or no. My mind kept calculating if I'm doing the right thing. Eventually my tongue rolled out a word of three letters and now we're here.

I guess we can get married in a church once we go to the city. It'll be just family and friends. Well his family and friends. I lost my both my family and friends the day I left Central City.

I remember Cisco's face. He was trying so hard not to cry. I gave him my number so he could call when he missed me, he never did. Jesse hugged me and went running back to her boyfriend Wally's arm. She was crying. Iris was there too. She was sadder than I have ever seen her. She finally got another job. Joe wished me all right. Harry gave me a watch as a farewell present.

The only person I didn't get to say goodbye was Barry.

I called him multiple times and even dropped by his apartment but he was nowhere to be seen. I remember the last time I saw him though. Clearly. I remember every second of it. His face was broken and wet in pattern of September's chaotic rain-

The phone in the other room rings.

I go running. The caller ID says Hunter Zolomon. I answer the phone,

"Hey honey, forgot anything?"
