"Damian Nathaniel Lawley! Take that box off of your sister and let's go!" I shouted heading down the stairs, almost tripping over a Dora shoe.

"Angelina what did I say about shoes on the stair case!" I sighed, picking them up and shoving them into the cubbies next to the door.

"Let's go my dear children, it's time to go! Come on down!" I yelled up the stairs.

"Sorry mommy." Angelina apologized, carefully coming down the stairs, "Damian put a box on my head! I couldn't see!"

"Push him next time." I laughed resting my hands on my hips, waiting for her to finish coming down the stairs.

"Mommy." she said in a serious tone, "I can't do that, that's mean."

I couldn't help but to just laugh at her, she's so cute when she speaks in her serious tone, "I know baby, I'm just kidding, now let's get you all bundled up."

"I'll get my mittens!" She smiled, excited to wear her new mittens that I had bought for her a couple days ago.

"Damian! Get your little butt down here!" I shouted once again.

"But mommy I don't wanna go to grandmas! I just built a fort!" He informed coming down the stairs anyway.

"Grandma just made a fresh batch of your favorite cookies, but I mean if you really don't want go then I g-"

"Cookies!" They both cut me off by screaming in unison then jumping up and down.

"Then come here and get your coats on!" I laughed while bundling them up in warm clothing before letting them go out in the cold.

It's been six years since Jc left me. And right now I have two kids. Damian who is six, Angelina who is three, and one on the way. Although, I'm only a few weeks along. But to be honest, I've been doing just fine as a single parent. Well, not necessarily single... I've been dating someone for a while. He's been nothing but generous and exceptionally great to my, and our, kids and I really can't thank God enough for him. He's been the father figure for my children ever since Damian was born.

Before we started dating, I didn't think I would ever see his face again. It's crazy that I met him so far from where we first met, which was all the way back in California. But I guess we were both just in the right place at the right time, which I can't be more grateful for. Us reconnecting really gave me the chance to catch up with him and finally tell him why we never met up again after that one night we were together.

Yep. I still remember that night. He sang me one of his very first songs he's ever written, and to this day it's still my favorite. But over all, I'm over joyed to have such a positive and trust worthy person back in my life. He's a real blessing and defiantly a keeper. In fact, he had actually just proposed to me a couple of weeks ago, and I couldn't be more excited to spend the rest of my life with him.

Just as if it was on cue, he walked in, covered in a thin layer of snow.

"Daddy!!" Angelina squealed running over to him, with Damian following close behind.

"Hey! How are my favorite kids doing?" He smiled kneeling to the ground to give both of them a big hug.

"Good! Damian put a box on my head and I couldn't see!" Angelina giggled pointing at her brother.

"What?? Nothing? You couldn't see anything at all??" He asked playing along with her.

"No it was really dark!" She shook her head.

"And I built a fort! Come and see!!" Damian pulled on his arm excitedly.

"Okay hold on, let me say hi to mommy first." He laughed before walking over to me, "And how is my gorgeous girlfriend, and or fiancé, on this fine evening?" He smiled before pulling me in for a kiss.
