I don't know how all of 5sos can have such pretty side profiles. Someone explain. this song doesn't go with the chapter at all. I just like it and want to give you guys a bop to listen to.
Aria:
I woke up in my bed. It felt weird. I had spent the whole day with Luke and all I could think about was how I got here. Coincidentally, there was a note attached to my tangled mess of hair. I pulled it off my hair and read a messy familiar handwriting on the yellow piece of paper.
You fell asleep in my car and I didn't want to wake you up. btw I did your homework because I know how you are about school. I did my best to emulate your handwriting. you're welcome. oh and I'm taking you to school
xoxo
Luke
I remembered how he kissed me on the hill. I felt tired. Even worse than I did yesterday. More upset and for some reason, I knew today wasn't going to be okay. Luke was kind enough as to put my phone on the charger.
'6:45' my phone read.
I knew it. I wasn't going to make it on time.
Fifteen minutes until school starts.
Usually, I would have freaked out about just the thought of being late, but today I just didn't care.
I took a loud sigh and got up from bed. Doorbell rang multiple times. I knew Arizona was gone as well as my mum. Maybe it was Dakota. She sometimes came late. We didn't always go to school together. We almost never actually. Unless one of us- I mean if Dakota was having a bad morning or if one of us- if Dakota was going through a breakup.
Neither of which were happening so I wondered who else it could've it been. I took my time down the stairs and the ringing only got louder and the pounding on the door only continued. When I finally opened, Luke appeared with a bagel and a rose in his hand.
"Sorry, I'm late," he panted. That's right. Luke was supposed to take me. "I stopped to get food. Why aren't you ready? We're going to be late Ari."
Still trying to comprehend his presence, I sighed.
"I don't know. I just woke up."
"Since we're 'dating' or whatever, do you want me to be honest?"
"I guess."
"You look horrible."
I knew I looked horrible.
"I didn't think we were in that stage of our relationship yet where you had to be that brutally honest."
"I'm sick of liars. You don't look that bad. I was kidding. You just look tired and you slept for so long. Here, we don't have too much time. Let me help you find something."
Luke entered my house. I was used to him being around and even though he rarely came inside my house, he always seemed to always know his way around. He ran his long, skinny legs up the stairs and before I could even get to the top, Luke threw a shirt at me. He had my bag in his hand and began pushing me back down the stairs in the opposite direction towards the door.
"I'm not letting you be late to your second day of school. First impressions, Aria!"
"Stop yelling. You sound like Dakota."
"No time for talking."
He pushed me into the passenger seat of his car and started driving recklessly. We still have ten minutes.
"Can you please slow down? We don't live that far from school," I complained.
I pulled off the shirt I had on yesterday, not caring about Luke's presence in the car. His eyes trailed off from the road and every time I caught him staring, he went back to reckless driving.
