Lewis POV:
“Bye Lewis, it was a pleasure meeting you. See you in a few days” I heard Mrs Lester, Shannon’s mother, call as I headed towards to a metallic blue car which was parked outside her house. I had been staying there for the past three weeks while social services sorted out a suitable care home for me and today was the day I was moving into it. I was really apprehensive and anxious about moving into a house full of people who would only judge me and Shannon wasn’t allowed to come with me. She has helped me a lot and I don’t think I can do this next BIG step without her.
“I will come and visit you as soon as I can. Please, please don’t forgot me” Shannon cried. We were so close; Her mam even allowed her to bunk off school to stay with me! We were both holding our little teddy bears that we had given each other the previous night as a parting gift. Mine was boy’s blue while hers was girl’s pink.
“I promise I won’t forget you Shannon. I will m-miss you so so much” I cried back; we were both weeping wreaks.
“I will miss you too” We hugged tightly, wrapping my strong arms around her body; she secured herself by holding my waist, head on my broad shoulders.
I wished that moment would last forever… but it didnot; ultimately we pulled apart. “Bye” I called, tears falling from both of us.
“Goodbye” she returned before getting a tissue off her mother.
Plastic, black bags holding my belongings were thrown into the boot, sat in the back of the unknown car with an unknown driver, wisped away from everything and everyone I know behind…
