Lewis POV:
“Shannon!” I yelled as I saw her beautiful face lighting up the grey atmosphere like a firework in the night sky. It felt far too long since I have seen her although it was little over a week.
“I have missed you so much” She cried as she jumped into my open arms.
“I have missed you too,” I sobbed like a child losing their favourite teddy, “I need to tell you something. Follow me”. I commanded grabbed her soft hand and pulled her to my room, refusing to answer any questions she fired at me, leaving to Mrs Lester and Robert talking.
“Look, I-I dunno how to-to say this but I-I-“
“What Lewis?”
“I LOVE YOU SHANNON LESTER!” I blurted out. Terrified of her reaction, I clasped my eyes shut tightly and put my head down.
“I LOVE YOU TOO LEWIS FLINT!” she responded with tears in her beautiful eyes. ‘Really? Shannon Lester loves ME? No, I must have heard wrong! Why would she love me? The emo kid who cuts and gets bullied!’
I love her and she loves me; it is a bit like a fucked up fairytale, but we love each other and that’s all we need.
Simple.
I now know from this moment onwards that I will let nothing get between us and nothing can happen to Shannon. It is my duty to protect her and that is what I will do, whatever the cost. She means far too much to me.
If it weren’t for her, I would not be here.
Simple.
