Chapter 29

"Wait so your leaving me a year earlier?" Zoe asked. I had just informed her that I would be graduating a year earlier than I had planned and she wasn't taking it to well.

"but we had all our senior year already planned out." She pouted. I kind of felt bad but I didn't want to pass this opportunity I didn't see why I should stay another year if I didn't have to?.

"I'm sorry Zoe I just worked really hard for this and I really want to this." I replied trying to get her to understand. "Besides you'll still have Jake and Zack and Dylan." I added trying to make the situation a little better.

"Oh yeah!" She said her voice laced with sarcasm "I love them. I just love hanging out with all three of them. Watching them burp, hit each other over the last slice of pizza, oh and best of all when they fart like no one is around." She said rolling her eyes.

"Hey cupcake " I heard a male voice greet me. I felt an arm make its away around my waist and a pair of lips press against my cheek. I smiled already knowing who it was.

I was about to reply but Zoe beat me to it "Not now blondie ." She told him with a sour look on her face. I know she wasn't liking the idea of me leaving her a year earlier but it kind of made me sad that she wasn't being very supportive. I understand this wasn't such a big deal but I really did want this to happen which is why I worked as hard as I did, but she doesn't seem to think about that.

"Zoe please I said I was sorry it's not like I'm leaving you forever and not talking to you ever again" I sighed. I was truly getting tired of apologizing.

"What's going on?" I heard Niall ask. Zoe's eyes shot up at him.
"Oh you didn't know?" She asked with a smirk tugging at her lips. I was pleading her with my eyes not to tell him but she was just really pissed off that she ignored me and continued talking.

I hadn't told Niall yet and she was about to ruin it for me. It wasn't a big deal but I don't know why I was so nervous to tell him. I mean he was graduating this year as well so it's not like I'm leaving him too.

"Little Lucy hear is graduating a year early." She spoke looking at him then back at me.

"Really ? That's great Lucy, congrats" he congratulated me smiling from ear to ear.

"Thanks Niall " I smiled up at him. I looked at Zoe and she did not seem satisfied.

"Oh did she also not tell you that she might be moving to London?" She spoke again. I immediately shot her a glare. Wow well that's just great. It's not even fully true. I was looking at universities in London and I found one that I really liked and I happened to mention it to her. Which clearly was a bad idea.

"What?" Niall asked looking at me. I stayed silent for a moment before I felt his hand grab mine and pull towards the door to go outside.

"When were you going to tell me?" He asked after we made it outside.

"I wasn't. It's not certain yet Niall I was just looking at options that I had. It's no big deal" I shrugged.

"Lucy it kind of is." He started "I hadn't told you this but I was thinking of taking a gap year while you finished high school so we could start university together." He finished. What? Why hadn't he ever told me that before? Even before he left we never talked about stuff that serious.

"but now that your graduating early I don't need to." He spoke again after a few moments. "I would appreciate it if you didn't keep things from me." He said his voice sounding a bit angry. I didn't know if I should be apologizing or kissing him for thinking of a future for us.

"Niall I-I really liked that university but it's not certain that I'm going there." I told him taking his hand in mine to reassure him. He sighed  before placing a kiss on my forehead and walking off.

That was it, he left me standing in the middle of the field as he walked off to his car. I knew he was upset because I didn't tell him about London but it wasn't a big deal. He was my ride home but I didn't want to be any more of a bother. I sighed and walked off to find Louis.

"Cupcake" I heard Niall's voice on the other side of my bedroom door. It's been a couple of hours since I got home from school. I got up from my bed, where I was taking a nap, and sleepily walked to the door.
I opened it to reveal him standing there with his hand running through his hair his muscle flexing as he did so. He walked in pushing me backwards and shut the door behind him.

He engulfed me in a hug taking me by surprise. It took a second before I responded to his hug by wrapping my arms around his neck. "Sorry" he mumbled into my neck.

I looked up at him and just scanned his face. He bend down and placed a kiss on my forehead. I small smiled played across my face. I hadn't realized but he had the habit of doing that. I looked over at the digital clock I had on the side of my bed and noticed it read eight-thirty. I grabbed Niall's hand and guided him towards the bed. He laid down and I did the same. He immediately brought me next to him and we cuddled until we both fell asleep.
