"H-hey." I choked out. I was still trying to process everything that's happening right now.
He let out a small laugh at my awkward greet.
"So how you been?" He asked. All that was going through my mind right now was how much I didn't want to be here and what he said earlier
'We don't want this to happen a third time'
What did he mean by that? Then it clicked it was him I bumped into in the hall way earlier today.
"Oh um I'm good, you? " I asked trying to be polite.
"Good." He sighed scratching the back of his head. As if today was my lucky day, Zoe peeked her head through the door.
"Lucy what's taking so long c'mon!" She yelled at me. I looked away from her and towards Niall.
"I gotta um I gotta go. " I mumbled. I cringed at myself ,Jesus why am I being so awkward.
"Yeah yeah, see you around Lucy. " He nodded his head stepping aside.
I walked out looking down at my coffee, I felt his stare on me but tried my best to not look back at him.
I sighed of relief once I was out of the coffee shop. I felt like I was suffocating in there. I jogged to Jake's car and quickly got in.
"You alright, love? " I heard him ask.
I wanted to tell him so bad and let everything out but I know that now is not the time. Dylan doesn't know anything about Niall and I don't want him to find out by overhearing Jake's and I's conversation.
"Yeah." I replied looking away from him.
"Let's go.!!! " I half yelled trying to smile the best I could.
Jake began to drive off, as I turned to look at the coffee shop. I saw Niall walking out scanning the parking lot. His eyes locked with mine, and it was barely noticeable but he had a slight smile on his face.
I turned around after that and smiled down at my hands.
It's funny how after seven month's now, he still has that effect on me.

Fanfic"You know, they say that bad memories cause the most pain, but I think it's the good one's that drive you insane." I whispered loud enough for him to hear. A story in which two people with a past meet once again.
