Chapter 25: A Shot in the Dark

I'm TRYING!!!!!!!

     I could feel my self regaining consciousness yet my body refused to obey and move I tried to make. After what seemed like hours, I finally had enough strength to open my eyes. The room I was in was an all to familiar white, meaning I was in a hospital. More then likely, it was the one that was hooked to the building in the middle of the Forest of Death. For the second time today, I tried to move any part of my body.

     I still have 10 toes; 5 per foot.

     I still have 10 fingers; 5 per hand.

     I still have two arms and two legs. But I can not move them. I know they are there 'cause I still can move my fingers and toes. But, it is like there not there. An attempt to sit up bared fruit-less efforts. They had me restrained! "Go to Hell Kyofu!" I yelled as loud as I could. The door opened and Kyofu looked in.

     "Only if you lead the way." He sneered and shut the door.

     "Gladly!" I yelled again, "'Cause I can go imbetween here and Hell all day long!" He opened the door enough so he could turn the lights off. So, I sat there... in the dark.... all alone... with no one watching... I grinned and began working my self out of this mess.

~Sasuke's POV~

     We stood in the line-up with the other six teams. To my dismay, Raven and her new team, where no where to be seen. As we waited for the Hokage to speak, an extremelymuffled yell was heard. I disregarded it a listened to what the Hokage was saying.

     "Now Lord Hokage will explain the third exam! Listen up and take every word he says to heart!" Anko yelled. "There all your's My Lord."

     "Very well..." The old man said, "The third exam is about to commence... But before I go into specifics of how it will be conducted... Let me make one thing perfectly clear!! It pertains to the underlying purpose of the exam.-" Then, from the door that leads to the hospital, Raven just strolls threw the door like she owns the place. My heart skipped a beat.

     "SPOILER ALERT!" She yelled. "You guys have such a high number your going to have to fight. So only ha-" An older guy ran in and put his hand over her mouth. He pulled away holding his hand. "And that kids is a really good lesson. Never put your hand over my mouth 'cause I bite!"  The Hokage laughed a little and told us Raven was right. Half of us would move on, the other half would be dead or injured. 

     Some sick man jumped down and took over. "Dose anyone want to back out now?" He asked.

     Kabuto raised his hand and left. "Please..." A small, crying voice said from behind me. I turned to Sakura shaking. "Please, Sasuke... Just withdraw..."

     "Shut up!!" I hissed so only she would hear.

     "Sasuke, I know... That you've barely been able to contain the pain all this time!" Her voice was getting louder. I was sure everyone would have heard her but they watched on as raven's team tried to coax her back to the hospital.

     "I said-"

     "You leave me no choice. If you woun't listen to reason...I'm going to tell all the teachers about the mark and then..." When she started to raise her hand I grabbed her wrist. Hard.   

     "Keep your mouth shut! Not a sinle word about the mark!!" I growled.

     "Hey, BAKA!" Naruto chimed in, "Why the heck are you trying to act so cool. Sakura is worried sick about you!"

     "Naruto... You're the one I want to fight." That shut him up. The next thing I know Raven has her arm around my neck.

     "Good luck, Sasuke." She said in a sweet voice. "I'll be cheering for you!" Hu? I looked up to see an electronic board that had 'Uchiha Sasuke Vs Akado Yoroi' on it. Everyone went up to the balcony.

~TIME SHIFT! (Raven's POV)~

     I sat in the chair quietly. They managed to drag me from the arena after they pried my off of Sasuke. I have no clue what was in the sedative stuff but it made show how much I wanted Sasuke. During his match I saw the little swirls on his neck. I do not like the swirls on his neck. But I loved how he actually held onto me until they started to pull us apart. then he was telling me he was fine and that he would see me after all the matches. When I heard that I almost started crying but loosened my grip just enough that they could drag me away.

     So... Here I sit... Watching the clock... Did you know its been 20 minutes sense they dragged me away? All this time is killing me. Maybe I'll just go see him... I snuck away and slipped into the balcony. I got there in time to see the board flash "Haruno Sakura Vs Yamanaka Ino".

     They stood in the arena facing each other. "So, Sakura... Its you and me... Going head-to-head. I never saw it coming..." Ino looked almost sad to be fighting her. Sakura pulled her headband off.

     "Understand this...." She looked like she wanted to fight, unlike Ino. "I'm never letting you anywhere near Sasuke. I will win his love away from Raven and you will never interfere."

     "WHAT!?" Ino yelled.

     "You're not even his type! And I'm not the weak, needy girl I used to be. You're not even on my radar now." She is such... an ass!

     "Sakura... I think you've forgotten who you're talking to!" Ino is really mad now. "Don't cop an attitude with me, you little crybaby." They tied there headbands around their heads.

     "Kick her ass, Sakura!!" I yelled leaning over the rail. Thats when everyone notices I was with them. In the end Ino cut her pony-tail off and they knocked each other out.

     "Aww..." I pouted when its over, "That was lame..."
