James Richard Haniel held up his hands, feeling the short, hollow cylinder pressing against his back. The black-haired woman kept her hand steady, no sign of hesitation. She was definitely a professional. The boy would have to pick his answer carefully.
"It's not like I can accept when I don't know what I'm getting into," he replied.
The woman smiled. "Lotus Inquisition." She said, and called his bluff. "You should have found out about us by now."
"Elite witch hunters with special abilities of their own," Jay stated, doing his best to keep his cool. "I might've heard something here or there. But what would a bunch of badasses want from a kid like me?"
