A brooding Marcel stood staring at a wax display of ancient Asian—or were they Arabic?—horsemen when a redheaded girl with big round glasses bounded over to his side, plunging her face as close to the scene as possible.
"Omigosh! That's a real saddle the Huns used! How the heck did it find its way over here?!"
The taller boy quietly raised an eyebrow. She wasn't one of his classmates, he'd have recognized someone this unusually cheerful and energetic right away.
"Kylie, I thought you were going to show me this puzzle box of yours," Jay said, huffing after her.
"Sorry about that, I got a bit lost," Kylie apologized with a huge grin.
"More like sidetracked."
"Teehee~."
