Jeanne found Jay seated with his eyes glued to the television screen. In his hands, he fingered a ring, one of two that he had given to Shion for her as a present. Neither teenager had seen the short, Asian Witch since the night before.
"...The city government continues to refuse press access into the Dawn District, declaring the zone too dangerous for outsiders," a woman reported live from a military blockade on the news. In the background, armored transports and marching soldiers passed by. "The Crimson Fall, formerly a large group of organized crime which had recently absorbed gangs broken apart by law enforcement, is confirmed to be the terrorist force currently engaged with the LCPD, ETRF, and local military. All citizens in the other six districts are encouraged to remain indoors and report any suspicious activity immediately..."
"They even managed to cut the entire district off from internet access, or so I've heard," Jeanne said, sitting next to the boy.
