Pepperball gun holstered to the left hip. Four spare magazines, two more loaded with paintballs, as well as a couple of spare air canisters, all tucked into belt pouches. One machete in its scabbard, strapped onto a boy's back.

Jay donned a yellow coat, concealing his weapons under it. He checked his right fourth finger, on which he wore the ring Shion had left him. He didn't want to lose it or leave it behind. For whatever reason, she had entrusted him with it. He covered his hands with a pair of gloves and wrapped the green scarf Jeanne had given him around his neck for the coming cold of the night.

The boy descended from his apartment and found Jeanne waiting for him, already in her purple riding jacket. Yumi stood next to her. The strawberry blonde witch with amber eyes wore a black tube top under a red leather vest, as well as a pair of sturdy jeans and black fingerless gloves.

Jay smiled as he approached them. “Thanks for coming Yumi, but you know you don’t have to risk yourself,” he said.
