It's Monday, back to school. Yesterday, I hung out at the park with Luke, Justin, and Jordan while Brandon worked at the pizza place. Luke rode his motorbike around the city, and we had a blast.

I wake up at 7:00 am to Trina knocking on my door.

"Get up, Anne! We're going shopping today," she says.

"I have school, Trina. Leave me alone," I groan, but she walks away.

I get up, shower, and brush my teeth. In my closet, I pick out a red mini skirt, a red tank top, red heels, and big silver earrings. After putting it all on and styling my hair in a high bun, I add red lipstick and admire my reflection—I look hot.

As I head downstairs, Trina gasps in the kitchen.

"Close your mouth, Tri, or you'll catch flies," I tease, and she frowns while shutting her mouth. I eat some pancakes before leaving the house. My neighbors are rarely home; we're all wealthy here, and most adults work while their kids are grown.

I unlock my car and buckle up. At school, I see some boys waiting for me. I park in my usual spot and step out, making sure to draw attention.

Everyone gasps, and Jordan's jaw drops.

"Is that really you, Anne?" he asks, rubbing his eyes.

I nod and smirk. Justin and Carlos approach, and I can feel Carlos checking me out. Someone taps my shoulder, and I turn to see Carlos gasp and Justin grinning.

"Hey, guys," I say.

Carlos flirts, "Hi, sexy! Want to go on a date?"

Justin taps Carlos on the back of the head, scowling. "You have a girlfriend already, cool it," he says, smiling at me.

As we walk into school, everything goes silent. All eyes are on us—mostly me.

At my locker, Stephanie is there with her friends, wearing her cheerleader uniform. They gasp, and her smile turns to a frown.

"Well, well, the nerd finally tries to fit in," she says.

I roll my eyes.

"Listen here, slut, there's only room for one queen bee at this school, and that's me."

"I don't care. Excuse me," I reply, pushing past her to algebra.

The guys check me out, and when Brandon sees me, his eyes nearly pop out.

"Wow, you look sexy, Ana," he says, making me blush.

His friend adds, "Hi, sexy! Call me when you're fed up with this guy," winking at me.

Brandon frowns and punches him. "Don't ever flirt with my girlfriend again," he says angrily.

The bell rings, and Brandon walks me to class, kisses me, and warns, "Don't tease the guys too much." I nod.

When I enter class, everyone turns to look. The girls whisper, glare, or try to get the jocks' attention. I sit down and pull out my book.

"Wow, all the guys keep staring at you," Luke comments.

I roll my eyes.

At lunchtime, I grab my tray and sit outside with the boys, surprisingly joined by Brandon and his friend. Brandon smiles, and his friend winks at me behind his back, while Justin clenches his fist.

"This is my friend Jack," Brandon says, slapping him on the back.

I sit down, and Arlene whispers, "You look good! Glad not all the attention is on Stephanie."

I laugh.

Carlos is busy texting his girlfriend.

"Luke, are you and Gabriella dating yet?" I ask.

He nods. "I'm taking her out later."

Arlene smiles.

Jordan announces, "I have a girlfriend, her name is Emily. She's a freshman at the nearby college."

I shake my head at a text from Jacob:

Twin 1: They wouldn't last a week.

Me: I know, right?

He chuckles, and Brandon squeezes my hand, making me blush as I eat my lunch. Then Nikki shows up.

"Hi, Brandon. Remember our biology project? I'm coming to your house later," she smirks at me.

Brandon sighs and nods as she leaves. I release his hand, and he reassures me, "Nothing's going on. We're just partners for biology."

"I'm not angry," I say.

Jordan smirks, "No, you're jealous."

I kick him under the table. "Hey!" he exclaims.

Jack says, "We have training. Let's go."

Brandon kisses me, and Kyle does the same with Arlene. After they leave, Justin says, "I still don't trust Nikki with Brandon. Who knows what she's planning?"

I agree.
