The weekend was great; yesterday, I spent the day at the beach with the boys.

Today is Monday, and I decide to show off my new look.

I wake up at 6:30 am to find my clothes and plan to drive my BMW. After a quick shower, I slip into my high-waisted blue dress and heels, curl my hair, and apply red lipstick.

I check myself in the mirror and feel confident, slipping my blue shades onto my head.

I quickly make some pancakes and eat while watching TV. At 7:30 am, it's time to grab my car from the garage. I take my car and house keys, my bag, and my phone. As I enter the garage and press the button, my BMW rolls out—still looking brand new after a year.

Arriving at school, heads turn to check out my ride. I step out, grabbing my phone and bag, shutting the door as I strut toward the entrance.

Guys are looking at me, some whispering, "A new girl," and "She looks familiar," and "Isn't that the chemistry nerd? She looks so different now."

At the entrance, I see the boys waiting; Kyle's mouth drops open.

I tease, "Close your mouth, or you'll catch flies."

Jordan wraps his arm around my neck, as usual, to make other girls jealous.

Justin says, "Let's rock these halls."

As we walk in, I'm in the middle of six guys, hand on my waist. Girls gasp, and guys whistle; I just wink back.

I spot Stephanie and her minions by the lockers. She's in a crop top and mini skirt with five-inch heels. They gawk at me, jaws dropping.

Stephanie sneers, "Oh look, the nerd finally wants to fit in?"

I smirk and reply, "Not like a slut, that's for sure. And by the way, those clothes are getting a bit too revealing, don't you think?"

She frowns, flips her hair, and struts away.

Jordan jokes, "She has a nice butt."

I respond, "Yeah, fake ones with no shape."

Jacob high-fives me and laughs.

In class, everyone gasps when I walk in. I sit down, and the jock next to me checks me out, earning a smack from his girlfriend.

I relish the attention now directed at me instead of Stephanie.

After class, I meet up with the boys for algebra—Luke, Justin, and Kyle share the class with me.

As we walk in, guys drool over us. Kyle sits next to his girlfriend, a cheerleader, while Luke and Justin sit next to me, putting me in high demand.

Justin whispers, "My place after school?"

I nod.

**Lunchtime**

I enter the cafeteria with the boys, usually in the middle with Jordan's arm around my neck. We grab our lunches; Kyle carries two trays: one for his girlfriend, a salad and water. Who can live on that alone?

I sit between Jordan and Justin, followed by Kyle and his girlfriend, Jacob, Luke, and Carlos. The popular crew at the next table has their eyes on me.

I don't blame them; I'm flanked by two of the hottest guys at school. I munch on pizza and drink soda when Stephanie struts over, leaning forward to show off her cleavage to Justin.

With faux dramatics, I exclaim, "Ah, my eyes, it burns!" hiding my face on Justin's shoulder as he strokes my hair.

Jordan greets Stephanie, "Hey, want to have some fun?"

Her flirtatious response, "Sure, anything for you, handsome," makes me gag.

Justin whispers, "I knew that jock wouldn't last long; I'm surprised they made it five months."

I chuckle.

Jordan leaves with Stephanie, and her boyfriend starts kissing another girl.

Typical players at this school.

After lunch, we hang out until our next classes. I notice Jordan and Stephanie exit the janitor's closet; her hair is messy, and her lips are red.

Justin asks Jordan, "Was she any good?"

He nods, "Yeah, I don't get why you broke up with her. I think I want to date her again."

Justin warns, "Good luck; she's a player."

Jordan laughs, "Please, I'm the biggest player here; no one can beat me at my own game."

I whisper to Jacob, "I'll bet a hundred bucks they won't last a week."

Jacob smirks, "I'll bet two hundred they won't make it to next Monday."

We shake hands, "Deal; may the best win," I say.

Carlos and I have chemistry together; we enter the lab just as the bell rings.

He asks, "What were you and Jacob talking about?"

"Stuff," I shrug.

As I sit down, Carlos takes his seat, and the teacher walks in.

I get a text from Justin.

Player: Meet us at the parking lot after school.

Me: Okay, see you soon.

A girl leans over and asks, "Who are you texting?"

I smile, "Justin, one of the bad boys here." Her jaw drops.

She asks, "No way! How did you get a bad boy's number?"

I shrug, "He just gave it to me, that's all." She looks disappointed that a nerd got it.

Carlos grins and crumples a paper, tossing it at the teacher's head and pretending to ask me a question.

The teacher shouts, "Who threw that?!"

Everyone goes silent, watching the scene unfold while the boys whistle and the girls feign writing.

She turns on me, "Oh, Anastasia, who did it?"

I play dumb, "Me? I didn't see anything; I don't have my glasses, remember?"

The class chuckles, and I smile.

"Oh, the nerd's playing dumb now," she says.

I snap. "Who are you calling a nerd, bitch?! I'm not dressed like one nor acting like one, so shut your trap before you assault students!"

Gasps fill the room as I grab my bag and storm out. I've never been this angry before, and I see Justin and Jacob at the entrance.

Justin looks shocked. "I never thought I'd see the day a nerd walks out during class after giving the teacher attitude."

I lightly punch him. "She had it coming. Let's head to Starbucks and wait for the others; I'm not sticking around."

They both nod.
