I wake up around 10:00 am and head to the bathroom. My eyes are swollen and red, and my hair is a mess. I start thinking about last night and cry again, filled with anger towards him.

I wrap myself in a robe and go to the steam room to relax and clear my mind.

Freddie brings my breakfast and tells me, "Your dad is in the theater room if you're looking for him." I nod in response.

Arlene texts me on my new phone.

Best girlfriend: Hi girl, I heard what happened. Kyle and the guys will handle him personally; he won't be able to move for a while.

Me: Thanks, I'll see you tomorrow.

Best girlfriend: Eat all the ice cream you want; it helps.

I change into sweatpants and a baggy shirt and head downstairs. The doorbell rings, and I gasp when I see a beaten-up Brandon with a black eye and a broken nose.

He says, "Ana, please let me explain."

My dad arrives, shouting, "What are you doing here?!!"

Brandon replies, "I came to apologize."

I cross my arms.

My dad threatens, "You'd better leave my property before I call the cops or take matters into my own hands. I told you not to hurt Anne. I have good lawyers, so I won't face charges; I'll just say you trespassed, and I thought you were a thief."

Brandon frowns, "That's madness."

My dad shakes his head, "I have a witness. Who would the judge believe, the thief or the witness?"

I say, "Leave me alone, Brandon. We're done. Go back to your baby mama; I don't want to be part of this drama."

He starts to protest, but my dad interrupts, "Leave now, or I'll make headlines: 'Big business owner charged with the murder of an eighteen-year-old boy, police in custody.'"

I smirk.

I see two motorbikes and a car pull up in front of our house.

Brandon stiffens as Jordan says, "Hi Anne, ho—" but stops when he sees Brandon. Justin approaches Brandon, ready to punch him, but Carlos holds him back.

Justin hisses, "If I ever see you near her again, I'll kill you."

My dad adds, "And I'll kill you the next time I see you around here. Now get out of my sight; you don't want to see my bad side."

Brandon leaves, with Jordan kicking him in the butt as he drives off.

I ask, "What are you guys doing here?"

Jacob replies, "Our friend needs us, and we brought ice cream, a pillow with Brandon's face, and a dartboard."

I cry and hug him.

My dad says, "Have fun. I'm going out, and if that bastard shows up again, I give you full authority to send him to the hospital."

I hug my dad, and he reassures me, "Don't worry, everything will be alright."

I nod.

We go into the game room, hang the dartboard with Brandon's face on it, and I throw a dart, hitting his eye.

Jordan says, "Good throw, Anne," while eating the ice cream that was supposed to be mine.

After dart throwing, I punch the pillow to vent my anger. Then we take a picture and label it 'Helping me get over my heartbreak.'

We order pizza and watch an action movie followed by a romance film.

When someone in the movie declares their love, I scream, "Liar!" throwing popcorn at the screen and start crying again.

Jordan hugs me, and I lament, "They're all lies. Why did I fall for the trap?"

The guys watch me with pity, and Justin, the angriest, says, "Let's take revenge tomorrow night."

Everyone nods in agreement.

I say, "I'm in. What do I have to do?"

Justin smiles, "I thought you'd never ask."

The next night, at 1:00 am

We're all dressed in black in front of Brandon's house, ready for payback.

I whisper, "Do you have the spray paint, Jordan?" He nods and pulls it out.

"I'll handle his car," I say, spotting his white car in the driveway. I grin, take out the red and black spray paint, and start my masterpiece.

The others break into the garage to spray paint the other vehicles and throw toilet paper at the house. After finishing, I plastic wrap his car and pour tar on it as well.

We spray paint the entire front of the house and put Vaseline on the doorknob.

Justin says, "One more thing," pulling out oil and spilling it from the front door to the driveway.

I high-five him, saying, "He won't know what hit him in the morning." We walk back to Justin's house.

I say, "See you guys at school," then get in my car and drive home.

Brandon is in for a shock. I smile as I open my front door.

Revenge is sweet.
