{ 16. Don't Go }

Save me from the ones that haunt me in the night.
I can't live with myself, so stay with me tonight.
Don't go.

"Robyn?" I hear Austin say as he walked into my room. It was Christmas and we decided to spend it in our pajamas in my room while our parents hung out downstairs.

I turn around and smile at my boyfriend. "Hi Austin" I said as I pulled out the box with his gift in it. I couldn't spend a lot of money since I only had whatever I saved before I stopped working. 

I decided to buy him new headphones since the one he was using were broken and falling apart.

He sat on my bed, fondling with my gift, as if he was nervous about something. "Are you okay...?" I asked as I sat next to him, taking my hand in his.

"Yeah...I'm okay" he smiled and we went to exchange the packages. 

I unwrapped the wrapping paper to discover a CD from my favorite band. I looked up at him, smiling. It might not seem like it, but this is really special, It means a lot to know that he cares enough to go out of his way to buy something, even though it might seem so simple.

It was now around 2 am. 

"I should go" Austin said, getting out of my bed.

I felt a wave of panic. I didn't want to be alone. For some reason, I felt like soon my world would be taken away from me. Like the demons will come back and I won't be able to get rid of them. I needed him to stay, to protect me.

"Please don't go"
