I jumped up , and realized I was in the hospital bed....
What the hell....I said to myself
I heard some talking , one voice was familiar and the other wasnt....then the door opened
Its about damn time ....my mom said as she looked at me
What ? Why am I in here .....I asked
You was being a wussy and passed out while Lindsey was giving birth....she said digging in her purse
What....I said
Boy you heard what I said hell .....she spat
Where Lindsey ma....I asked
In her room resting....she said
And the baby....I asked
She's resting along with her mother....she said
I got up slowly....
What room ma....I asked

I slid on the house shoes that were beside the bed and made my way to Lindsey's room....
As soon as I found the room , I rushed in , and there they were both sleeping peacefully....
The door squeaked when it was closing , causing Lindsey to move around a bit....then she opened her eyes....
Hey august....she said smiling at me
Hey , I didn't mean to wake you....I said giving her a slight smile
It's ok....she said
I went around to the baby , and touched her little hands....
Hey babygirl....I said to her
She wrapped her tiny fingers around my index finger....
I smiled as I looked up to see Lindsey smiling at me....
I picked her up and went over to the window....staring into the horizon
As I was gazed off I felt a pair of hands wrap around me....I looked to see Lindsey
I smiled and then kissed my babygirl forehead....
A tear slid down my cheek...
Thank You God ....I whispered looking up , and then looking at my babygirl , with one hand around Lindsey hand....
I love you....I said to Lindsey
I love you too....she said now standing beside me....
I leaned down and kissed her lips....
Then we both stared out into the world , welcoming our babygirl....
