Chapter 29: Confront

"Shigaraki..." He said breathlessly. "As ugly as always."
"Oh please, like you have the right to talk. I only keep quiet because your feelings will get hurt."
"Right, I forgot I was slightly better looking than you." Aizawa replied.
"I see your saltiness never went away."
"Neither did yours."
Shigaraki laughed. "Ahhh.... I miss these times."
Aizawa grunted in response.
"What? You don't think so?" Shigaraki smiled.
Aizawa shrugged and looked away.
"Aaaaaw, don't be shy~!" Shigaraki sugar coated.
Shigaraki came closer.
"Don't," Aizawa said, "I have somebody else now..."
A moment of silence passed.
"Aizawa," Shigaraki whispered softly. "Say that while you look at me."
Aizawa turned his back to him.
"Are you really going to be this childish? Why are you so quiet?"
"Aizawa..."
"Don't come to me telling me I'M childish!" Aizawa yelled abruptly. "You captured my students just to get me here! WHY?! You're such an idiot!"
Shigaraki staggered back in surprise.
"Aizawa, I lov--"
"SHUT UP!" He yelled. "Didn't I tell you I have someone else already?" Aizawa's voice was breaking.
"All... All you did... Was tear me apart."

"Shouta..."
"Just leave me alone! And give me my students back!" He quivered.
"I just called you here to verify how you really feel. If I wanted to... I would have made you mine by now." Shigaraki confessed.
"Is that a threat?" Aizawa asked coldly.
"No. It's a fact. I still need you." He said demandingly.
"No you don't. Grow up already." He said angrily.
Aizawa's eyes began to tear up.
"Don't lie to yourself, Shouta."
"What?"
"You still love me."
"If I did I would've been here sooner."
"I know you already, Shouta. You'd suffer alone in isolation before you let anybody in."
"You and your little fantasies. Could you stop talking nonsense?"
"Nonsense? So when you came to me after 5 months of dealing with your little problem on your own and the tears in your eyes that drenched your collar wet, that was nothing? It was just my imagination? How foolish of you, Shouta."
"I guess we're both just children."
"We're just broken pieces who cut the same cloth."
"HEY. YOU SHIT! GET US OUT OF HERE!" Bakugou screamed.
"K-Kacchan! Not so louuuud." Midoriya begged.
Their muffled voices were heard nearby.
"A-Are they... Behind that door?" Aizawa asked in relief.
Shigaraki sighed, "Yeah... They're behind that door."
Aizawa ran past him and jiggled open the door.
Bakugou and Midoriya were tied side by side cuffed from their hands and feet.
"Where's Aoyama and Ashido?"
"Aizawa-sensei!" Midoriya shouted.
"Teacher!" Bakugou yelled.
"Get up. We're leaving." Aizawa told them.
Aizawa turned around and faced Shigaraki.
"They're downstairs." He answered.
"We can't go back to the way we used to be. But I can't ignore your feelings."
"I feel the same way, Shouta..."
"I can guarantee that we will never be anything... But I can't seem to get you out of my life." Aizawa said. "So..."
Shigaraki's response was an expression filled with guilt.
"I'll give you something that I never did."
Aizawa untied the kids and gestured for them to run.
"I'LL KILL YOU YOU FUCKING SWINE!" Bakugou shouted.
"Bakugou..." Aizawa scolded.
"Kurogiri." Shigaraki demanded.
"Yes, sir." Kurogiri replied.
A sudden portal appeared sucking in Bakugou and Midoriya.
They disappeared quickly.
Aizawa sighed stressfully.
"Those kids are a handful, huh?" Shigaraki asked sarcastically.
"You have no idea." Aizawa answered back.
Aizawa walked towards Shigaraki and grabbed him by his collar.
"Where's your hand?" He asked.
"In my pocket."
"Gross..."
Shigaraki laughed.
Aizawa leaned in to kiss him.
Two minutes later they let go to draw breath.p
"That's the last thing you're ever going to get from me. If you want to talk to me... Then we're just friends." Aizawa said.
Shigaraki looked shocked.
After a moment Shigaraki kissed him once more and again and again until he was satisfied.
He let go and said, "I think I can live with this."
"Kurogiri." He said softly.
"Yes, sir..."
Kurogiri opened a portal for Aizawa.
"Until we meet again, my love." He said.
Aizawa grunted. "In your dreams, loser."
Aizawa stepped in the portal as it began to grow dark.
Suddenly he found himself outside near the exit.
"Kids!" He yelled.
They were standing right next to him.
The boys' faces were in awe.
Aizawa turned to see all the noumu's falling into the ground.
"Sensei!" Shouted Ashido.
"Monsieur!" Aoyama shouted.
Ashido and Aoyama ran out the first floor of the building.
"Shouta!" All Might yelled. "Are you okay?!"
"Yo, Aizawa, we gotta get outta here!"
Midnight shouted.
"Took you long enough, Eraser!" Endeavor commented.
Aizawa smiled.
"You guys..."
"Alright, let's get the villain hiding inside!" Aizawa shouted.
"No..." Aizawa said. "He's good. If we want to capture him we need to the whole group. Let's fall back for now."
"Yeah, we know his location. And if he runs, I've attached a tracking device to one of the noumus." Midnight agreed.
"I bet they're so dumb they won't even notice. We've got them on lockdown." Endeavor snickered.
"Hmm...." All Might paused. "I'll take your word it. Those noumus were quite a hassle. And we're not in our best condition... The kids were also hostages today. I can't keep them in danger any longer... I'm sorry Aizawa." He said thoughtfully. "I don't know what I'm thinking. You're right. Let's get back to the base."
All Might took Midoriya and Aoyama by their arms and threw them over his shoulders.
"Let us go, children."
He ran at full speed and dashed out of sight in a flash.
Aizawa sighed.
"Aren't you glad?" Endeavor sniggered. "Your boyfriend didn't beat up your ex."
"Yeaaaah." Midnight chimed in. "Ain't that great, Mrs. Hero?" She said slyly.
Aizawa glared angrily.
"LEAVE."
"Sensei, how did you know how to find us?!" Ashido exclaimed.
"I'll tell you when we get to school." He answered.
Bakugou grunted and looked the other way pouting angrily all the while.
"Oooooh! This is so awesome!!!" Ashido said excitingly.
Midnight and Endeavor casually walked away with Aizawa following closely behind.
Hmm, I wonder... Why am I so happy All Might didn't lay a finger on him?
I need to rethink my feelings... Aizawa thought as he held his scarf tightly.
"Aye, don't be looking down!" Endeavor shouted.
"You'll stray from the group if you're too lost in your thoughts!" Midnight added.
"Would you guys shut your freaking mouths?! You're all damn annoying!!!" He replied.
They giggled and turned back around.
