Chapter One

I woke up early on September 1st because I didn't want to be late for the Hogwarts Express. This would be my first year attending Hogwarts even though I'm 15. I grabbed my trunk and made sure everything was in there before I went downstairs. I left my trunk by the front door and went into the kitchen. I didn't expect anyone to be up this early but, I found my dad sitting at the kitchen table, drinking coffee and rereading my acceptance letter for about the thousandth time.

"I can't believe your still reading that," I say.

"Well, I just can't believe you got in," he replies, his head still buried in the letter.

"That hurts," I said putting my hand over my heart.

"Now, sweetie, you know I didn't mean it that way."

"I was kidding dad," I said walking to the fridge giving him a strange look.

" Chelsea I think I heard the mail drop in," he said.

I close the fridge as I carried a cup of orange juice. I hum as I walk to the front door,

"Bills, bills, oh look more bills," I say dropping them on my father's lap.

"Oh look," I say.

"What more bills?" he asked.

"No a letter from Hogwarts!" I say happily, as I hop on the couch. I rip open the letter and read,

Dear Miss Parker,

We are glad that you are attending Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. We're very sorry for the delay at getting you your ticket. We look forward to seeing you at Hogwarts.

Sincerly,

Professor McGonagall

Deputy Headmistress

I flip the letter over and one train ticket falls out.

"What is it?" dad asked.

"My train ticket." I reply.

"Oh, well that would be helpful. Are you ready to go?"

I look at the clock and I'm suprised at how much time has passed, it's already 10:30. I drink my juice and run upstairs to brush my teeth and get into my school robes.

"Now I am." I say.

"Got your money?"

"Yep."

"Trunk?"

"Yes," I said pointing to the front door.

"Books?"

"Yup," I say popping the 'p'.

"Wand?"

"How 'bout I say I have everything and we go."

"Er, fine," he replied, "let's get outta here."

*20 minutes later*

"I didn't realize we live so close to King's Cross," my dad says.

"Neither did I."

He parked the car and we got out heading to-

"Platform nine and three quarters?" I say tugging my luggage.
