Chapter Eleven - Facing him is better than dying. Right?
Why was he kissing me?
I was shocked for a minute, but I quickly composed myself and pushed him off of me. He was smirking and I glared at him.
"What the hell was that for?!"
Harry just looked at me and went over to the portrait. He said the password and started to walk into his common room.
"HARRY POTTER YOU GET BACK HERE THIS INSTANT!" I yelled.
He continued to walk into his common room and I knew that that was it. I couldn't go into the Gryfindor Common Room, even if I knew the password. In the short time that I'd been here, I'd learned that Gryfindors and Slytherins did not get along at all. They hated each other.
I turned away angrily and stalked back to the Slytherin Common Room. I got there, muttered the password, and walked in. I sat down by the fire.
How dare he. How dare he kiss me against my will.
I heard a soft pecking noise coming from the portrait hole, and I opened it. Hodge flew in with a note tied to her leg. I carefully took it off, and read it.
Chelsea.
Go to the girls lavatory on the second floor and find the sink with the snake engraved on it. Say 'open' and the sink will move and there will be a slide. Go down it and you will find your next instructions. Fail to do this before the next hour is up, and it won't be someone else this time.
There was no signature, but I could tell who it was from. Who else would know about 'someone else?'
Do I go?
I decided to go. I figured out that when my father said something, he meant it. I walked out of the common room again, and up to the second floor. I got to the girls lavatory, and looked for the sink with a snake on it. I eventually found it and said 'open' like the note told me to. Nothing happened and I tried concentrating really hard on the snake and said 'open' again. This time the sink moved aside, like the note said it would. I thought again if I really should go, and decided facing him was better than dying. Right?
I took one more time at my surroundings and jumped in.
Once I got to the bottom of the slide like thing, I started to look around for a paper. I found one under a rather large skeleton of something. I opened the note with trembling fingers and read.
Chelsea.
I see you have been smart enough to follow your instructions. Although, you are probably not smart enough to know that the first full moon is coming up soon. Yes I have been keeping track. I will talk to you more about this when you and I are face to face. Continue going straight, and you will see a hole in the wall. Go through the hole and turn left. I will see you when you get there.
I ignored the comment about the full moon, although I knew that it would come in handy very soon. I followed the instructions, and got to the hole. I went through it and turned left. I came face to face with my father for the first time.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Our conversation came back to me again and again.
"You let him kiss you. Don't deny it you filthy half-breed!" he yelled.
"It's not my fault!" I yelled back.
"Of course it's not. I suppose Parker's death wasn't your fault either?" he taunted.
Tears stung my eyes, but I did my best not to let him see them.I sucked in a shaky breath before addressing him again,
"You did that. Not me. I had no part in this and you know it! You killed him! I would never do something so disgusting and cruel!"
The words stopped short on my tongue. My heart was pounding with a rush of adrenaline but unfortunately that didn't stop the fear settling into my soul. I flexed my fingers a little - a nervous habit, as the muscles on my Father's face moved to form a furious scowl.
"How dare you speak to me like that!" He spat, drawing his wand out from his pocket to point it directly at me, "You filthy half-breed you're no daughter of mine!"
Tears threatened to fall from my eyes again but I held them back, and edged backwards ever so slightly so that I hovered in front of the entrance. My hands were shaking as I replied with an equal amount of venom to my tone,
"You don't know how bloody relieved I am!"
That was it. I had to get out. I turned sharply on the spot and shoved on the door. The hinges emitted a rough sounding squeak and halted before me. I pushed again, but the same thing happened.
Realisation dawned on me - I was trapped.
I stumbled backwards, horrified. My hands and legs trembled before me as the tears finally began to fall. I thought I was stronger than this - and maybe I was, but being confronted with death so early in life was something I wasn't prepared to handle yet.
I had made up my choice. My hand fingered the stick shaped object inside my pocket and in a split second my wand was between my fingertips - pointed directly at the monster before me.
He wasn't my Father. Blood didn't mean a thing. Not when you were related to someone this monstrous and evil.
"I hate you!" I screamed, tears blurring my vision, "You're a monster! Charles Parker was my real Father and he always will be! I will never let you take his place! Ever!"
Voldemort's snake-like eyes flashed a vivid red. And there it was, I realised. The thing that distinguished us the most in this non-existent Father - Daughter relationship of ours.
The corners of Voldemort's mouth twitched up into a sadistic smile, "My dear daughter you will never be rid of me for as long as you shall live. And if you don't do as I say from now on, then that period of time will become very limited."
I don't know how I got away. Maybe he let me go, or maybe I cursed him. Who am I kidding, I couldn't curse him. Not without dying right after. Anyway, I got away, and guess what? I didn't tell anyone. Not Chloe, not Casee, not Eloraina and sure as hell not Dumbledore. I couldn't risk anyone else dying. Including myself.
