17. That's why

Luke's P.O.V

I left the house for a walk, just to clear my mind a bit. It was 11pm, so dark outside. I grabbed my earphones and listened to some music, and walked trough the park.

I came back home and walked upstairs, to shower.

I walked into the bathroom and got under the hot water.

And suddenly someone opened the door.

Ashley's P.O.V

I heard Luke walking into the bathroom. He probably got out for a walk. I know it wasn't right because he wasn't doing anything wrong.

I had to make it right and tell him.

I undressed and opened the door.

Luke's P.O.V

It's Ashley. She walked towards me and gave me a sweet kiss.

"I'm sorry Luke" she said looking straight into my eyes

I looked at her leg, and noticed a big scar.

"Ashley, what's that?" I asked, putting my hand on her leg

"I wanted to tell you after you showered. I mean, we."

I smiled and continued washing my hair.

She hugged me and we basically stood in that position for a while. Hot water flowing over us, steam filling up the room.

"Luke I love you" she looked at me

"I love you more babe" i said kissing her forehead

She hugged me one more time and we both got outta the shower.

After drying our selfs and getting dressed, she lay down next to me in bed. Her head resting on my chest, telling her story, and explaining why she was acting weird these days.

"What about the big scar on your leg?" I asked carefully

"He did it, when i wanted to leave the house after we got in a fight, he wanted to kiss me but I slapped him in his face, then he got a kni-" she looked at me, tears rolling down her cheeks.

"It's ok babe, what happened next?"

"And cut me, i was wearing a skirt, he took it off and started telling me if i was ever telling someone about what happened, he'd find me and do it again"

Ashley turned her head and started crying. That's why she acted weird these times.

"Ashley, don't cry"

I said turning her head and kissing her cheek.

"It'll be okay, I'm here, nothing bad will happen, I won't let him hurt you.

Doesn't he live in the Netherlands anyways?" I asked

"I saw him walking around in the park a while ago" she looked at me

"Luke I'm so scared, he's a bad person, he will hurt you, especially when he finds out that you're my boyfriend"

"Why were you dating him then?"

"Because I thought he was the one, the one who would love me, the one who would never hurt me, he was fake. All he cared about was my body. Not about my personality, he was always touching me, and telling me that he would never let me go"

I was in shock. How could someone ever do that to her.

"Don't worry Ashley. I will beat him up if he ever touches you again. You don't deserve all of this. You're the most beautiful girl I've ever seen. You don't deserve to get treated like that"

I hugged her and she lay on my chest again.

I woke up by Ashley's phone ringing.

I looked at the caller.

It was David.
