20. Hospital

Ashely's P.O.V.

"W-what do you mean? How do you know him?" I looked him in the eyes. How does he even know him?

He let out a sigh. "He used to be a friend of mine".

WHAT?! HOW?! WHY?! My thoughts were going crazy. How can he know him if he lived in the Netherlands? I heared someone opening the door. Gina and Hazel came in.

"I'm home!'' she shouts. ''Anyone home?'' she asked. Luke looked into my eyes again "Hey mum'' he said and broke the eye contact. He walked towards the fridge and pulled a bottle of orange juice out. After pouring it in a glass he walked into the living room. Hazel came into the kitchen and looked me with a weird face.

"What" I said giggling.

"Where were you I called you and texted you and I didnt even saw you at school! Did you skip school?"

"Woah calm down, and no I didnt skip school" I said while making a sandwich. "If I didn't wake you up this morning you were the one who 'skipped' school."

She looked at me and then hugged me out of nowhere. "Did I told you how much I love you?" and gave me a kiss on my cheek.

"Eh no Hazel you gotta make your own" I said while cutting my sandwich in triangel shape. I placed it on a plate and then suddenly she stole one from me and ran into the living room.

"HAZEL" I shout. "MAKE YOUR OWN DAMN SANDWICH". I heard her laughing. With my plate I went to the livingroom where Gina, Luke and Hazel were watching tv. I placed myself beside Luke and started to eat.

Trying not to worry about the David drama.

"How did your first day went girls?" Gina asked.

Horrible, I think

"Well it was horrible." Hazel began. "We are in different classes. And I couldn't understand half of the lessons. They are using words which I didn't even know they exis-" hazel's words got cut off by me walking out of the room. All I was thinking about was Luke and David, I need a walk.

"What happened?" I hear Gina saying before I open the door to leave.

- I'll be back - i text hazel before they all freak out

I just wanted to go for a walk in the park.

I drown in my deep thoughts,

How do those two even know each other? David lived at the other side of the world, so did I. I don't even know how long and why he's here. Maybe he left after our break up, which was three years ago. I had been crying for almost three months straight, in anger and sadness. He forced me to shut my mouth, or he'd kill me. What if he moved here, just to stay away from me? What made Luke and David be friends, and why aren't they anymore? In my years of fangirling over the boys, they never had mentioned David..

And before I turned back to reality, I got pulled over by something heavy, making my head hit the ground.

Luke's POV

What the hell? Why did she walk out?

"She'll be back" Hazel answers like she was reading my mind, after her phone buzzing, I guess it was Ashley.

I wanted to go after her, but something made me not to, maybe she wants to be alone, and maybe I'll make it worse by using the wrong words.

A scream made me snap out of my thoughts. Was that Ashley?

As soon as I get up I run as fast as I can, and like I thought so, it was her.

She's laying on the road, with her blond hair, covered in blood and a black car, right beside her, the driver gets out of the car and gets his phone out, probably to call an ambulance.

I rush and kneel beside her.

"Ashley!" I yell, my eyes tearing up, for the fear of her never opening her beautiful deep blue eyes again.

"Ashley!!" I yell again, grabbing her shoulders, trying to wake her.

"Ashley please open your eyes!" I cry, by the time, a lot of people are standing around us, watching. I hear an ambulance getting closer.

"Are you her boyfriend?" The man asks

"Ehm.." Am I?

"Yes" I say

"I'm so sorry for what happened, I was in a rush and she was walking down the road.." The man says, looking nervous. I guess he's 30 years old.

The ambulance got here, and I give a deadly look as a reply.

They drag Ashley onto that weird thing and pull her into the back of the vehicle. One of the cops walk towards me, but all I want is to be near Ashley. I walk to the ambulance but the cop stops me.

"GET OFF ME I HAVE TO BE NEAR HER" I let my anger speak

"I just have to ask you some questions, you can visit her in five minutes.

"DO IT BEFORE THE AMBULANCE LEAVES PLEASE" but it's too late, they leave, with Ashley in the back.

The cop asks me if I belong to her and if I was there when the accident happened.

Ashley's POV

I wake up, with a massive headache, when I open my eyes, I realize I'm not in my room, I'm in the hospital and there were some people sitting in the chairs next to me, one was sitting on my right with his elbows on his knees, and his hands covering his face. There was a woman too. She had dark brown hair. Is that Gina? and the guy must be Luke. I am so tired. I barely can open my eyes. With the sound of the machine I slowly fade away..
