19. David

I changed into light washed jeans, a white top and jumped into my nikeys. I brushed my long blond hair and put a light amount of make-up on. I got my bag and ran downstairs as fast as I could, and walked to school, which was literally ten minutes away from me.

Amazing, being late on your first day.

I searched for the right class and got in, Maths, amazing. The first thing I noticed were bitches looking at me like they had never seen anyone walking in late. I was about to close when suddenly a boy, who was also late, walked in. The boy looked like David.

It was David.

Oh god someone get me outta here. After the first period was over, I walked to my next class. Pfhew, no David here. I texted Luke as fast as I could.

Babe I'm at school, and guess who I have Maths with!?

He texted me back in like two minutes, guess I woke him up.

thanks for waking me up queen, who?

David..

The teacher noticed me texting and almost took my phone. She looked at me for a while and asked me if I was new here.

''Ehm yes I am'' I said awkwardly biting my lip

''Tell us a bit about yourself, since you don't know anyone from here''

''I moved here from Holland for my mom's work'' I felt the tears building up

''Oh, how do you like Australia?''

''Ehm, I actually love the weather here, and the accent''

She smiled at me and walked back to her desk. Thank god she didn't ask anything about my mom. I miss her though..

School was over, and I basically ran home before bumping into David.

I was too late, there he stood with his friends, waiting outside and smoking cigarettes

I checked my messages and texted Luke,

David is waiting for me outside, help me Luke!!

I'll be there in a minute

My heart was beating so fast, what if he and luke will end up fighting? Ugh I shouldn't have texted Luke in the first place.

I saw Luke walking into the school, noticing me leaning against my locker.

''Hi babe'' He said kissing my cheek

I smiled at him and we walked home.

When we got home I threw my bag somewhere and ran to the kitchen. Luke walked in laughing and said

"Slow down" and poked my side.

"I'M HUNGRY OK"

We both ended up laughing and then Luke suddenly looked at me, very serious

"i don't want you to get near that David guy, I don't want you to get hurt"

"It's okay Luke, nothing bad will happen at school"

"I want you to stay safe Ashley, that guy is a freak"

"HOW DO YOU FUCKING KNOW THAT LUKE? BECAUSE HE ALMOST KILLED ME?"

Luke looked right into my eyes and said

"I know him"
