16. The hidden past (part 2)

Luke's P.O.V

"I don't know, Ashley's acting weird the last days. She won't tell anything." I said.

"Did something happend between you two?"

"I don't know she doesn't tell me anything." I looked down.

What do I do wrong?

"Don't worry I'm gonna talk to her" Hazel said and walked upstairs.

Ashley's P.O.V

I curled myself up in bed, calming down.

Flashback

It was evening and we were eating together with my mom. My dad never really ate with us. He's always at his work or just ate outside in the backyard. It was an akward silence when suddenly my phone vibrated. I looked and saw Luke posting a new selfie on Instagram. I immidiately liked it and left a comment. I was inside fangirling because my mom was here and that would be more awkward for her hearing my dying whale sounds (yes I do that while I fangirl).

"Omg mom look at this, Luke posted a new selfie!" I was so happy.

"Yes honey" she said. She ate further and I left a few more comments.

"Ashley put your phone away and eat your dinner." I locked my phone and put it on the table.

Hazel's POV

The door opened and Hazel came in. Without saying anything she lay beside me giving a hug. A long hug. A few minutes later the frontdoor opened and closed. Luke has probably left.

"Is something wrong ash?" Hazel asked carefully.

First I hesitated but then started to tell everything.

"Alot Haz, I miss my mom. I really need her. Life sucks without her, sometimes I just ask myself why I'm still here. I have nothing to hold on tight only you and luke. I feel so empty Haz." a tear rolled down my cheek. I realy miss my mom. Just everything she does. Her laugh, her cooking skills, her smell even the way she went crazy because I was talking about The Janoskians 24/7. And now we have to try to live in a house. I still gotta find a job and just everything is coming to me it stresses me."

"You know babe, this is life. We can't change anything. Happened is happened we can't go back. I understand, life is hard and you are going through a rough time. But no matter what I'm here, you know that yeh? And don't worry we can look for eachother and hope we find a job. Otherwise we can go back to the Netherlands and you can move to our house. I always wanted to have a little sister since I'm the only child."

"Yes I know baby"

"But Ash, ehm is there something wrong between you and Luke??" she asked. I knew this was gonna be asked.

I let out a sigh and start telling.

"You know David? Yeah the last days I have all flashbacks of him. And whatever Luke does it just reminds of him. It's awfull I'm going mad and angry at Luke while he's doing nothing wrong. Even when we are close to each other and just an awfull moment pops in my head about David, I push Luke away. I let him cold untill it's gone. I just had an argument with Luke, he told me I changed. I didn't but I can't help it. David ruined my life. He ruined it like my dad did."

"It's gonna be alright, don't worry." I felt her unwrap her arms around me and stood up. Come on, let's order something we have to eat. I looked at her and she went downstairs.

Hazel's P.O.V

I went downstairs and took my phone. Unlocking it and going to my texts. I texted Luke.

Don't worry she will be alright, just needs a little time

I hope he would understand and then ordered some noodles. After that I opened facetime and started calling my mom.
