You raced towards the cafe Anteiku, already late to your date with your boyfriend, Hide.  When you burst through the door, you looked around nervously.  It was the day that you were going to finally tell him that you were a Ghoul, so you wanted to do it at the safe-haven of sorts for ghouls.  You walked over to where he was sitting at a table, and he looked rather pale.  You knew he probably thought you were going to break up with him, since you'd texted him meet me at Anteiku in half an hour, we need to talk.

"Hey," you said as you sat down across from him.

He looked up at you.  "y/n, please don't do this."

You sighed.  "Hide, I'm not breaking up with you."  You saw the color return to his face as he sighed in relief.  "But you might want to break up with me by the end of this."

"What's wrong?"

You looked down at your hands, which were resting on the table.  "I - I've been hiding something from you, Hide."

"y/n, I love you, but it's hard to keep secrets from me.  I already know."

Your eyes widened and you looked up at him.  "What?"

He nodded.  "I mean, I was surprised at first.  But it all fits together.  You never eat, you never really want to be around too many people, you always change the topic when I bring up ghoul attacks, and you always say you don't want to hurt anyone anymore.  At first I thought you meant emotionally hurt people, but then I put one and two together."

"And...  Are you afraid of me?"

He shook his head and reached to grab your hand.  "I know you won't hurt me.  If you wanted to, you would have.  I know that.  Besides, you're still y/n.  You're still the same y/n I fell in love with, that I loved yesterday, and before I figured it out.  You're the same y/n I'll love tomorrow.  You're still you."

You were shocked.  You tried your hardest to hide the fact that you were a ghoul from him, but apparently you did a bad job at it.  "So...  It doesn't bother you?"

He shrugged.  "I know you won't hurt me, or anyone I care about.  So no."

You sighed in relied.  "Thank god.  I was so worried you'd be afraid of me, tell me to go away...  I don't know what I'd do with myself if that were the case."

"Well it isn't."  He smiled at you, hid brown eyes lighting up slightly.  "I'd never say those things to you.  I wouldn't know what to do with myself either, if we broke up."

You leaned over the table and gave him a kiss on the cheek as you smiled.  He wasn't afraid of you.  He still loved you.  He knew all along, and he still loved you.  You were still you, to him.  And that made you happier than anything.
