Nishiki Nishio - It's Rize's Fault

You screamed in agony as Ayato crushed your arm for the third time with his foot. "Ready to give in?" he asked.

"I'll never join Aogiri," you growled as you squeezed your eyes shut and braced for your other arm to be broken, for the fourth time. "I'm not a monster."

"Well I'm sorry you feel that way." You could feel him raising his foot, but it never came down. Instead, you saw him basically fly across the alley, and your boyfriend standing over you.

"y/n," Nishiki said quietly as he picked you up. You groaned quietly in protest - it hurt like hell - but he didn't put you down. "You'll never get her," he said to Ayato.

"Nishio," Ayato said calmly. "Put her down. You don't have to get involved in this. Just hand her over."

"Never," he said as he adjusted his grip on you, making you yelp in protest and pain. "You'll have to go through me first."

Ayato sighed and rolled his eyes. "Young love. How weak. I thought you were better than this, Nishio." He strolled towards them. "But, if you insist." Within the blink of an eye, Ayato had kicked Nishiki's wrists, making him involuntarily lose his grip on you and make you go flying in the air.

"y/n!" Nishiki cried out as you hit the ground a few feet away. He rushed over to you, but Ayato grabbed him by the throat and threw him against a wall.

"Just give up," Ayato said as he stood over you, spreading you out as you were earlier so it'd be easy to break your bones. "For every five seconds that you don't say take her, I break a bone."

"Stop!" he called out as he got up, his face bloody and bruised. "What do you even want with her?"

Ayato laughed as he rolled his eyes. "What wouldn't we want with y/n Kamishiro? She might have something valuable on her sister, something that could help us or give us an advantage."

"She hates her sister! Ever since she became a glutton!"

"Oh, but how Rize loved her! She told her everything, tried her hardest to get her to join her. But y/n thought she could change her, so she'd meet with Riza and try to convince her. That's why you didn't kill her when she took your feeding territory, right? Because you didn't want to hurt her." He raised his foot and crushed one of your legs.

Nishiki's eyes changed into kakugan. "You've messed with the wrong people, Kirishima." His bikaku kagune escaped from his body and extended towards Ayato. "Let her go!"

Ayato crushed another of your bones.

Nishiki attacked him, throwing him away from you. He jumped over your unconscious body - it was then that he realized you'd passed out from the pain. "I'll never let you take her."

"You'd rather us keep coming for her?" Ayato gave him a bloody smirk as his kagune and kakugan made an appearance. "You know we won't stop."

Nishiki attacked him, using all of his strength to throw him against the wall and stabbing him through the stomach with his kagune. "Never, ever touch my girlfriend again. Do you hear me?"

Ayato's kagune attacked Nishiki, but he was quick to jump out of the way and ony get a scratch. "You can't... Kill us all," Ayato said as blood began to spill from his lips.

"Watch me," Nishiki whispered venomously before dropping him and running over to you and picking you up off the ground.

Your eyes slowly opened, and you didn't realize where you were at first. For a moment you thought that you were at Nishiki's apartment, but then you realized you were at Anteiku.

"y/n..." Nishiki's voice came quietly from beside you. "I'm so sorry."

"You don't have anything to be sorry for," you said as you slowly say up. "It had nothing to do with you. It was Rize. It's all her fault."

"But I wasn't there to keep you safe."

"The important thing is that you got there before it was too late. That's all that I care about." You grabbed his hand and squeezed it. "I love you. Thank you for saving me."

He leaned down and kissed your forehead. "I love you too."
