Nishiki Nishio - I don't think any less of you

You took out your phone and sent a text to your boyfriend, Nishiki.

Hey Nishiki, wanna go grab a coffee at Anteiku?

Whenever one of you was bored, you'd sometimes go out for coffee. And of course, Anteiku had the best around, because it was a ghoul-operated cafe, and ghouls could only drink coffee. So you and Nishiki liked to go there every once in a while, just to seem normal.

A reply came almost immediately, but a small frown crept its way onto your face after you read it.

Sorry y/n, can't. I'm busy today.

You sighed but stood up, deciding to go to the coffee shop on your own. You quickly got dressed, then went out. You tried to ignore the raging sense of hunger that practically gnawed away at your stomach, since you hadn't eaten in a couple weeks. One guy looked at you like you were insane, an it took everything you had in you to not whip out your kagune right there, stab it through him, and have a meal.

When you finally got to Anteiku, you almost fell down laughing. Nishiki was walking around in a uniform, taking orders. He'd always told you that the day he went to Anteiku was the day you could rip off his kagune. You held your laughter inside as you walked over to a table and sat down.

"Hey welcome to Anteiku how can I help-" His voice cut itself off when you lifted your head to look at him. "y-y/n. What are you doing here?"

"Getting ready to rip off your kagune," you laughed as you looked up at him. "Nishiki, why didn't you tell me?"

He sighed. "I have always been kinda independent, able to survive on my own. You always told me you loved that about me. I didn't want to do anything that could change that." He hung his head slightly, until you grabbed his hand.

"Nishiki, that's not why I love you. If I list the reasons, we'll be here until closing time tomorrow night. There's nothing wrong with you coming here. I don't think any less of you."

He looked at you, lowering his pen and paper. "Really?"

You nodded. "Yeah, really! Now, you know what my usual is. I'll have that, and your usual for you to join me when you go on break."

He smiled at you and nodded. "Will do," he said as he quickly wrote down the order on his notepad, then walked back to the kitchen. You watched him as he walked, smiling as you did so. He thought you would leave him, that's why he didn't tell you. Your smile grew as you placed your chin on your hand and continues to stare at him as he worked.
