**A/N hey guys!  I know I haven't updated in a long time but I really wanted to write something, and I've been so in love with Mystic Messenger lately that I decided to do this one-shot.  I know Mystic Messenger is a game, not an anime, but I'm putting it in this book anyway because it's close enough and I needed a place to put this

707's POV

Seven did his waiting.  Forty four days of it.  Every picture they sent, every chat room where they flirted with her...  He stayed strong.  His turn would come eventually, right?  It had to.  She went to everyone else.  Even Jaehee, the woman.  She'd go on a woman's route before his, and she herself was a woman.

He was right.  Eventually, on the forty fifth day, she started again.  He gave all the same responses, just like the last four times.  But this time was different.  She gave him the affection.  It was his turn.

After the party, she stayed with him.  Every day he lived in fear that she'd just reset again and start over with a new route, possibly redoing everyone else's.  Except his.  One day, he finally gathered the courage to ask her about it.

"Hey...MC?" he said as he looked at her with half-closed eyelids.  He was looking up at her, though his head was tilted to the floor.

She turned to face him.  "Yes, Saeyoung?"

He took a deep breath.  This was it.  The moment of truth.  What he'd always been waiting for.  "I-I need to know something..."  He shut his eyes and put his head in his hands, before finally looking at her with fully open eyes.  "Why did you pick everyone else?"

Her head cocked to the side in confusion.  "Huh?"

He sighed.  "Yoosung, Jaehee, Zen, even Jumin!  Why...?"

Her eyes widened slowly.  "Y-You know...?  You know a-about the reset?"

He nodded his head.  "I know.  I'm the only one who does.  I'm the only one who remembers.  I-I just need to know..."

She took a deep breath and looked at her hands.  "When I first joined RFA, Yoosung seemed like the easiest option.  I never intended to go out with him.  But I guess one thing just led to another...but I was truly in love with someone else.  But no matter how hard I tried, I couldn't get through to you, Seven.  It gave me Jaehee or Zen.  An then, I-I met this man...  He told me that he could let me love you.  Let us be together, the way I wanted.  For eighty dollars, he opened the opportunity.  But I somehow ended up with Jumin."  She looked out the window.  "God, Seven, it was a nightmare.  He scared me, but I couldn't tell anyone.  He locked me in his house.  But finally, after those eleven days...I got you."

He jumped up and hugged her tightly, sighing in relief.  She loved him all along.  She just couldn't get to him.  "I love you, MC," he said as he held onto her tightly.

"I love you too," she whispered quietly as a small tear fell from her cheek onto Seven's shoulder.  He pulled out of the hug to wipe it away, and look into her eyes.  "Hey, hey, don't cry.  We're together now, okay?  I'll never, ever leave you."

She smiled at him as another tear fell down her face.  "Yeah, we're gonna get married at the space station one day."

He smiled.  "Yes, we will."

*Time skip three years*

Seven and MC had been happily married for about two and a half years when he woke up alone.  He'd given up his fear of losing her long ago - she was with him for so long, there was no way she'd ever reset.  Not after all the trouble she went through to be with him.

When he reached to pull her closer but only grabbed empty blankets, he sat up.  She was probably just in the kitchen, making coffee or something.  "Hey, MC?" he called out into the house.

There was no reply.  He got up and went into the kitchen, looking around when he noticed she wasn't there.  "MC?"

Still no reply.  He grew worried as he ran through the house, checking every room.  When he determined she wasn't home, he took out his cell phone.  What he saw broke his heart.

Yoosung ✰ Huh?  MC!!

Yoosung ✰ I was hoping to talk to you

Yoosung ✰ And you're here!  This must be my lucky day!

Yoosung ✰ <insert Yoosung happy emoji>

MC Yoosung, right?  Nice to meet you ^^

Seven's heart shattered, and he dropped his phone to the ground as he fell to his knees.  No, no, it wasn't possible.  She couldn't have.  She wouldn't have.  She loved him, she told him that.  She told him what she went through to be with him!  She wouldn't have done it.

He threw his glasses off his face and ran his hands through his hair.  It wasn't possible.  She couldn't have.  He picked up his phone and kept reading the chats.

Yoosung ✰ Yep that's me!

Yoosung ✰ I'm thrilled I can talk to you right away! ^^

Yoosung ✰ I have tons of things I wanna know

He let out a yell as he pounded his fist on the ground.  Tears streamed down his face as he screamed, "It's not fair!  It's not fair!"  He repeated the words over and over like a mantra, until his throat was raw and his eyes were red.

He collapsed on the floor in a sea of silent crying as it sank in.

She had reset.
