After a few hours, they finally took me out of the cell that they kept me in. I walked back, escorted by the same group of men, into the courtroom. There, I see Rain and my mom sitting in the very back. My mother was crying into Rain's shoulder, only making my insufficient amount of confidence plummet. I was forced back into the wooden chair, this time they cuffed me to it, as if I was going to run. I probably was. Looking at the judge, I waited for his verdict.

"Aiden Peterson, the jury has spoken. You have been found innocent," a huge of relief washed over me. "However, you are to be put into a school for special cases, such as you."

I froze, wondering what that means. Mumbling arose behind me, as the audience began talking to each other, probably wondering the same thing.

"Quiet in the court!" the judge commanded, quickly shushing the room. "This will be placed in action immediately, you will be attending The school for abnormal children as of Monday of next week."

I tried to raise my hands, to argue but I couldn't, the handcuffs were too short. Quickly I looked back at Rain and Mother; their eyes were just as big and shocked as I felt.

"Court dismissed."

I was instantly dragged from my seat with such force I couldn't keep myself on my feet. They shoved me to an empty room, finally uncuffing me, leaving my wrist and ankles feeling naked.

My mother came first, looking as if she was shoved into the room. I ran to her, hugging her. To my surprise, she pushed me away, bumping into the sky blue wall behind her. This left me staring at her, confused.

"You," she pointed at me with her boney finger. "You promised me that you will never leave me. You fucking liar! I hate you!"

Mom I love you, what are you saying? I asked confused, I don't want to leave you, I have no choice!

She started screaming. "You could have done something! You know that I need you, you selfish little shit! Why do you have to hurt me? I. Hate. You."

A guard from the outside rushed in after hearing her scream, escorting her out of the room. I slowly sat down on the old, squeaky bed, not able to stop the tears that kept flowing out of my eyes. I don't know why I was crying, it was all my fault. I did promise her that I will always be with her. I betrayed her.

I didn't even notice that Rain had walked into the room. She sat on the bed next to me, softly holding one of my hands in hers. I looked into her eyes, wishing I could forever be with her.

You're so beautiful.

She pressed her lips lightly on mine, before wrapping her arms around me. I hugged her back, nuzzling my face in the crook of her neck, taking in her smell. She pulled away, looking down at the hand she was holding once more. Gently, I tilted her head up so that her eyes met mine. Brushing loose strands of hair out of her face, I began memorizing her face as if it was the first time I saw her. I forced myself to have her ingrained in my mind.

"I will see you again, Aiden," she said as if she read my mind. "I will wait for you, even if it's years, decades. I will wait for you."

A guard came in and ordered her out of the room. Quickly, I signed to her, I love you.

I love you too.
