(I know, such a creative chapter name)
Congratulations! You made it to chapter 1. Enjoy.

It's been a year since I was placed in this school. "The school for abnormal children" they called this place. I hate it here.
Every morning starts with breakfast at six in the morning. It is always soggy bagels with a glass of warm milk. Then comes arithmetic at seven, and English at nine. Lunch starts at eleven. Then it's history, science and The Friendly Circle.
The moment I wake up at six in the morning, sometimes before the sun appears, I dread The Friendly Circle. It was a time where everybody gather in a circle and is forced to interact with one another. I heard that it was a chance for us to see that we were not so different from the rest of the world. However, none of my peers would ever want to talk to me. Probably because I never talk back. Instead, I stare across the circle to my only friend in this place, Todd. He talks a little too much, trying to make conversation to whomever pops his five foot social bubble. But nobody would want to talk to him, partially because of his frightening yellow eyes resembling a cat's. They don't frighten me anymore.
Halfway through TFC, Miss Campbell always come to drag me away from the group. She leads me to her office, a little room just off the side of where TFC is held. She believes that I have a chance to talk. She was trying to "cure" me. None of the other teachers here know about this. She demanded that I keep my mouth shut about this.
Afterdinner, no one expects us to finish our homework. Teachers here rarely give usany homework anyways. We are escorted to our rooms, one per student, and lockedin until six the next morning. This is the time I use to draw. I draw the landoutside this god forsaken walls, my old life in the city. I drew my days here outfor her. And of course, I drew her, Rain.
