Percy: Chapter 3

Percy

Percy had a headache from all the voices buzzing in his head. One of his half-sisters had just appeared, and then Piper had fallen overboard. So he wasn't really thinking when he jumped overboard after her.

Now that he thought about it, he should of let Jason go after Piper. Jason could fly, he could not.

He could see Piper's shape in the distance. She was about sixty feet below him. There was no way he could get to her, much less save her from hitting the ground at a bone breaking speed.

However, this was nothing like falling into Tartarus. Percy shuddered at the memories of that place.

Last night, after Percy said hello to the stars for Bob with Annabeth, and Annabeth went into her room, Leo woke up and got a snack. He instantly asked Percy for a story about Tartarus, so Percy gave him one. At the end of the story Leo had a big grin on his face. Percy had asked him why he was smiling and Leo had replied 'that place is darker than Nico's soul. And that's saying a lot.' Percy had glared at him then went to his bedroom, and collapsed with exhaustion.

Suddenly Percy landed on something. At first he thought it was the ground, but he looked and the ground was about one hundred feet away. Although he was heading towards it even faster then before.

That's when a voice said in his mind. What's up boss?

"Blackjack?" Percy asked suddenly realizing he was on a Pegasus.

That's me boss, Blackjack said, get ready to catch that friend of yours. That's when Percy saw Piper about three yards away. He reached his hands out. Blackjack flew right next to her and Percy grabbed her. She had fainted, during the fall. Blackjack shoot upwards towards the Argo II.

Blackjack landed on the deck, taking up most of it, and crouched down so Percy could slid off.

Jason raced onto the deck, "is she okay?" He asked.

"She fainted." Percy said.

Annabeth appeared, "Percy, thank the gods you're okay!" She cried, as she flung her arms around him.

Shaley came onto the deck looking amused "nice." She said. "But next time try not to make it look like you're committing suicide."

Percy glared at her "I didn't see you giving any ideas."

"I obviously didn't need to." She replied smirking.

"Come on inside." Annabeth said to Percy, helping Jason carry Piper into the ship. Who was stirring in her sleep.

Percy walked in. Leo, Frank and Hazel were crowded around the TV.

"Guys, come here." Hazel said. Percy sat down next to her.

Series of earthquakes. Weird unowned dogs. Terrorist attacks. The news reporter was saying.

"Oh great." Percy said.

Shaley smiled at the TV, "those people will believe anything."

"That's not the point." Percy muttered.

"I didn't say it was." Shaley replied.

"What are you doing here anyway?" A half awake Piper asked.

"I've come to ask for an alliance." Shaley answered.

"Why can't you just join us?" Annabeth asked.

"I won't be owned by anyone." Shaley said, "by the way, shouldn't you be in the sickbay?" She said addressing Piper.

Piper rolled her eyes, "I'm fine. I just woke up and I don't have anything broken so I'm fine."
