Annabeth
Annabeth cursed in Greek aloud, she was so stupid. She should have realized Hazel and Leo were missing.
Finding people was a lot harder than it sounded in books. Annabeth hoped Hazel and Leo stayed where they were when they separated from the group. Sadly, Annabeth, Piper, and Jason had no idea where they came from.
"We have to find them." Piper said anxiously. "We're all getting separated."
"Looks like Gaea's getting what she wanted." Jason muttered.
"That's it!" Annabeth said. "She's trying to separate us!"
Good job Annabeth, Gaea said, your smarter than you let on. But it's too late. Your little friends Percy and Shaley are going to be sacrificed.
Annabeth felt herself falling to the floor. "No," she whispered before before darkness took over.
Hazel was on the ground sobbing with Leo kneeling down next to her awkwardly. Annabeth instantly knew Hazel was having boy problems. The way Hazel cried without caring that Leo was right next to her as she cried. The way-
You're not Aphrodite, Annabeth chided herself.
Annabeth looked at a sign that read: rue de carrefour. Annabeth cursed her dyslexia and felt herself waking up.
"Annabeth, are you okay?" Piper asked.
"I'm fine." She muttered, "I found out where Hazel and Leo are."
"Where?" Jason asked.
"Rue de carrefour." Annabeth said. "At least, that's what I read on a sign."
"That's French!" Piper said.
"What?" Annabeth asked.
"It's French," Piper said, "Crossroad Street."
"Why are there French signs in Greece?" Jason asked.
"Who cares?" Piper asked. "We need to go find Hazel and Leo."
Hazel and Leo were exactly where Annabeth saw them in her dream.
"Thank the gods!" Piper said as she ran towards them. When she reached them she seemed to realize something was wrong. "What happened to Hazel?" She asked Leo.
"Frank." He growled. "He's with Gaea."
"No!" Jason said in disbelief.
"It's true," Leo said, "he said so himself."
"I can't believe it," Annabeth said. "I'm so sorry Hazel."
Hazel, who had stopped crying, nodded. "He'll fix his mistakes, I know he will."
Annabeth was going to say that Frank was probably gone for good, when she realized Hazel didn't have much hope and needed support.
"Of course he will," Annabeth said. "Now we need to go find Percy and Shaley."
"She's going to sacrifice him!" Hazel nearly yelled. "He's in trouble, we need to help him!" She tried to run away but Leo held her back.
Leo mouthed, She's going crazy, to Annabeth.
Annabeth wanted to say that Frank was going to be fine, but she couldn't, something told her that Frank was in trouble.
"We have to get back to the Argo II." Leo said looking at the ship that was miles away.
"You're kidding me," Piper groaned.
Leo's smile told Annabeth that he wasn't.
"This is the longest walk I've been on for forever." Piper groaned as they trudged on.
Jason was sweating, Hazel was rubbing her bruised arm (Annabeth wasn't surprised they had gotten attacked by a monster), Annabeth was trying not to get dehydrated, and Leo was walking like it was just another walk to the park.
"We're almost there," Leo said brightly.
"Yay," Piper said sarcastically.
"I'm surprised we haven't been attacked more." Jason commented.
"Don't say that!" Hazel said.
"Why?" Jason asked.
"Because you might jinx it." A smooth voice said.
"You totally jinxed it!" Leo said.
"Who's there?" Annabeth asked, she was completely unarmed but Piper, Jason, Leo, and Hazel all took out their weapons.
"Dawn," the voice said. "You will not survive."
Then a pack of hellhounds appeared.
Jason, Piper, Leo, and Hazel all made a protective circle around Annabeth which made her feel weak.
Piper, Leo, and Hazel all lunged at the small hellhounds while Jason took on the alpha. That left Annabeth and the beta.
The beta growled and walked closer to her, Annabeth walked backwards away from it and picked up a rock. The hellhound growled again and Annabeth threw the rock at it. Not her smartest move.
The hellhound jumped at her and Annabeth ran out of the way just in time. Annabeth climbed a nearby tree and rested in it. Her friends were doing fine.
The alpha was gone so Annabeth figured it was dead, so now the hellhound trying to kill her was the alpha. Jason had gone to help Piper and they were winning.
Leo and Hazel were blasting fire and minerals at the hellhound they were facing. It's fur was singed and it had lost a leg.
Piper looked up at Annabeth. "Hold on!"
Annabeth suddenly felt the branch she was sitting on cracking under her weight. Then she was on the ground.
The alpha walked towards her, Piper was too far away to help. Annabeth knew she was dead.
Annabeth backed up, tripped on a rock, and fell on the ground. The hellhound was a foot away from her when it turned into gold dust.
"What kind of demigod walks around without a weapon?" A familiar voice said.
Annabeth looked up and saw the annoyed face of Shaley.
