Chp.11
Brandon's Pov
I really don't know what happened at the park. I just had all these emotions wrapped up inside me and I needed to get them out. I guess I just broke down, but Callie understood. After kissing her I was finally better. I had realized she was here with me and I was okay.
"Brandon we better go." Callie says snapping me out of my thoughts. I then realize I am still sitting there on the park bench staring deeply into Callie's eyes. This makes Callie blush and look away. I then stand up and reach for Callie's hand pulling her to her feet.
"Yeah we should go. If we stay any longer Marianna will probably think we're having sex. This makes Callie really turn red and she just nods. After this we walk home in complete silence, our fingers still interlocked with one another's.
When we get home I walk in the door and yell "Marianna we are home!" "Okay be down in a second!" She yells back. Callie and I then go into the kitchen. I grab and apple and Callie gets some water. We both sit there, not making eye contact and continuing eating our snacks.
Many minutes have gone by until Marianna finally comes down stairs and breaks the silence.
"So Cal, B how was the park?" She says winking at Callie. This makes me laugh a little but Callie just replies and says "I had a wonderful time."she then winks at me. I try and calm down my laughing as I here a yell come from the front door. "We'er home!" Mom (Lena) then walks into the kitchen with Jesus and Jude by her side.
"Hey guys I see your all back." Marianna says. "Yeah I was getting off work and Jesus and Jude called and asked if I could pick them up so here we are!" "Oh ok." I say happy to see everyone home but sad because my "day" well 3 hours with Callie has come to an end.
I quickly pull myself out of my deep thought before I totally zone out. After snapping out of it. I see Jude run over to Callie. Callie opens up here arms and Jude runs to her and gives her a big hug. I see why Callie truly ran away now, she loves Jude more than anything. I soon realize that I have zoned out completley when I hear a "Hello earth to Brandon!" Jesus says as he snaps me back into sanity.
"Man you have been spacing out a lot lately, You must be thinking of someone real special." He says making kissy faces at me.
"Shut up Jesus!" I say as I shoot him a evil glance. "Ooooh Brandon's got a girlfriend! Brandon's got a girlfriend" Marianna taunted as Callie blushed. "Well B, who is this mystery person we don't know about?" Mom (Lena) asks. I just roll my eyes in response and mom (Lena) says "fine B I'll back off! But I'm expecting to meet this mystery girl soon." "MOM!" I yell and look back over at Callie and see that she is bright red, She just looks up at me and shakes her head with a huge smile spread across her lips.
Mom (Lena) must have noticed because she says "Callie?" "Yeah Lena" "So do you know about this mystery girl?" Before Callie can even answer I answer for her "Well of course Callie knows she's my favorite!" I say walking over to Callie and wrapping my arms around her from the back. I then give her a playful kiss on the cheek when I see mom (Lena) raise her eyebrow. "What?" I say back defensively. Mom (Lena) just shrugs her shoulders. "Well, I'm going upstairs if anyone needs me." Callie says shooting me a glance. I then take the hit and follow her upstairs.
