Chapter 21
Brandons Pov
After a long drive to the hospital we finally get there. I immediately jump out of the car and run for the hospital doors. I sprint down the halls and come across a woman sitting at a desk. "Callie.... Jacobs..." I say in between breaths
"Uh yes. Callie Jacobs... Room 413 right down the hall and to the right."
"Thank you!" I say and run as fast as I can to her room. 409, 410, 411, 412, 413! Finally I see room 413! I run up to it and open the door to see a sleeping Callie. She has a oxygen mask over her face and weird tubs going into her nose. She looks absolutely terrible and it's all my fault.
I soon after look over and come to the realization both moms are already here. I look at them and they both give me a sad smile, and this is when the tears come back again.
I walk over to my moms and just cry in there embrace. I can hear Stef saying things like "Shhhh, Shhhh, it's okay she will be okay." But I only continue sobbing and say "No! It's not okay! I should have been there for her! I should have never left her alone this morning! It's all my fault!!" I say
That's when I hear movement from behind me. I quickly turn around and see Callie rearrange her position. I move away from moms embrace and rush over and kneel down by her bed.
"Hey Cal, you probably can't here me, but Im so sorry. Look I want you to know I love you okay. I always will, and I have since you came to our house. I will love you forever."
With that I kiss her hand and walk back over to moms who are standing by the door.
They both sigh.
"Brandon everything will be okay. I promise." Mom (Stef) says and then gives me a reassuring smile. I just nod in response. "Do you know where everyone else is?" Mom (Lena) asks. "Um probably in the waiting room. I kinda ran in without saying anything so.." "Oh alright B, we are gonna go find them. I figure your staying here right?" Mom (Stef) says "Yeah" I say and head over to the chair and sit by Callie.
Once they leave the room I start talking to her again. "Hey, It's me again, I know your still sleeping, but I just want-need, need to talk to you. When the police officer came to our door this morning, and I heard you where gone, I didn't believe it, not one bit. And I don't know how this happened but, I'm just so sorry." I stop talking and break out into another sob.
I lean over onto the side of her bed and just cry.
I'm sitting in this position for about 20 minutes. I stop crying and bolt straight up when I hear a groan. I look up and see Callie's eyes flutter open. She moves to her side so she's facing me and says "Brandon?" "Yes Callie! Yeah. It's me! Your safe okay! I love you so much! I'm so sorry!" I say all in one breath. She smiles and says "hey it's okay, I'm okay. I love you too. And it's not your fault, oh god Brandon please don't say it's your fault cause it's definitely not!" I nod "I love you so much you know that?" She nods and says "Come here." She grabs me by my neck and pulls me over to her. She gives me a long lingering kiss. We pull away and I can't help but ask "Callie. Who did this to you?" She hesitates but answers "Liam."
That's when I'm pissed! I feel like I want to punch a wall! "Oh my god Callie! I'm so sorry! I swear to god if I ever see Liam again he's a dead man! I'll kill him!" She gives me a solemn smile and nods. "What did he do to you? How did this happen?" I ask
"Umm, well, I got up this morning and got a text from a blocked number it said if you scream you die. I got really freaked out and next thing I knew it I wake up in the back of Liam's truck. My hands and feet were tied and well, long story short I told him if he let me get out of the ropes that I would let him have me, he let me out untied the ropes and I ran." By the time she's finished she crying so I pull her into a hug.
"Shhhh, it's okay. I won't let anyone hurt you ever again. I promise you. I'm never letting you go." After I say this I tighten my grip around her waist and hear her wince in pain. I quickly pull away and ask "Oh god Cal. I'm so sorry!" I say as I put my face in my hands. "It's alright my ribs just hurt." She says. "Okay" I say through my hands. I hear Callie sigh and she says "Brandon will you look at me? Please?" I look up from my hands and smile "That's better." She says and smiles back.
We hold each others stare until the Doctor comes in.
"Ms. Jacob, You may leave in 20 min, you foster mothers are sighing your release papers. But there are some rules for when you go home. No walking for at least 48 hours, so that means strict bed rest and your ribs should heal by then." She nods then the doctor motions for me to follow him, I follow him outside Callie's room. "How are you related to Callie?" He asks "I'm her boyfriend" I say "Alright, I assume your going to be spending the weekend with her so as I said strict bed rest! She can not walk! We don't want her to hurt anymore ribs."
I nod then ask "If you don't mind me asking what all happen?" "She came in with 2 broken ribs, she is badly bruised and has a broken wrist." "Okay thank you sir." I shake his hand and he walks away. I walk back into Callie's room to see her starring at the ceiling.
"Hey," she says not making eye contact with me. "Hey" I say back and walk back over and sit on the side of her bed. "Where Jude?" She asks "He's in the waiting room. You can see him soon, Are you ready to go home?" She nods and grabs my hand. My fingers interlock in hers and she lays back and closes her eyes. "I love you" I say and lean over and kiss her forehead. I get off the bed and go over to the chair. I sit down not daring to let go of her hand. I fall asleep happy knowing that my love is okay.

Callie's Pov
I walk up to Stef shaking me "Callie, Callie wake up. It's time to go home." I nod and try to sit up but I can't. I wince and sit back down. "Here I brought you some clothes, should I help you change or?" She pauses. "Um I'm okay just help me up." I take Stefs hand but quickly and pulled back by Brandon pulling on my arm. I look back at him and smile at our hands still interlocked. I'm pulled out of my thoughts when Stef yells "Brandon! Get up!" He jumps up and sighs when he sees my face. "Come on boy Cal is coming home! Which means you need to let go of her hand!" Stef says. He frowns but then let's go which makes me frown as well. But I get up and slowly hobble over to the bathroom.
Once I'm in there I slip on my sweatpants and my T-shirt and I see Stef brought me Brandon's sweatshirt.
By the time I'm done I'm out if breath and feel dizzy. So I walk out of the bathroom and see B standing by the door. He puts out his arms and says "My lady" I smile and he picks me up bridal style and I laugh. "Hey!" I say "Sorry, we already let you go by yourself to the bathroom, now. Doctors orders! No walking! "Fine!" I say still giggling. He carries me down the hall and into the parking lot where I see Stef and Lena sitting in the car. We get in the car and Brandon puts me in the backseat with him. I lay my head down on his lap and rest my feet on the other seats. After a long while of driving we pull up to the house. Brandon carries me to the front door and right as we get inside Jude rushes up to me! "Callie! Callie!" He yells. "I'm so glad you okay! I love you so much!" "Love you to bud!" I say and smile down at him. Then I see Marianna and Jesus walk into the room. "Cal!" Mariana and Jesus scream at the Same time! "Hi guys!" I say "We are glad your home!" Marianna says I smile and Lena says "Alright let's get Callie to bed! B bring her upstairs!" Brandon nods and he walks me upstairs he's about to walk me I it my room but I stop him by saying "Can I sleep with you tonight?" I smile and bring her to my room. I lay her down on my bed and she cuddles up in the blankets. I smile and kiss her forehead. "I love you, goodnight" I say I was about to get up when she says "Stay with me?" I nod lye down next to her and wrap my arms around her. "Always."
