I woke up with my face absorbed in the street light peaking through my window. I groaned when pain ran throughout my entire body with every moment I made. A loud knock on my door scared me, but what scared me even more was Grayson Dolan lying right next to me.
WHAT THE ACTUAL HELL. Out of paranoia, I checked to see if we were fully clothed. Thank god we were. The memories of last night started to come back. The crying. The anger. The weakness.
I smacked him on the chest and he woke up with a groan. "Grayson shut up!" I covered his mouth with his eyes slightly widened. The sight was pretty iconic. I pointed to the door and signaled for him to be quiet. He hid under the bed and I walked over to the door.
I turned towards my clock, 1:34 a.m. HOW WERE WE ASLEEP THAT LONG. AND ON A SCHOOL NIGHT.
I opened the door to see a strange man I had never seen before. He pointed behind him where my very drunk aunt Rosie was clinging to the wall.
"I'm Joey, a friend of your aunts, we went to a party and I didn't want to leave her so..."
"Thanks for bringing her home safely, I got her." But I really didn't. My aunt was fit, like really fit and she was all muscle, which I was not. Joey helped me get her to bed which I thanked him for. He offered to get her some Tylenol and I thanked him as he made his way to the kitchen. When he came back he also brought a trash can. Once Rosie was in bed, I thanked Joey for bringing Rosie home safely.
"It was no problem, I just wanted to make sure she was safe. She's been dealing with a few things." A few things. Meaning she hasn't had a job for a month and a half & our only source of income has been my coffee job & Gregory's army check.
"Yeah, she has." Once he left I realized Grayson was still in my room. For some reason I was unbelievably nervous about it. When I walked in my room Grayson was already getting ready to leave, which I was grateful for.
But were you really?
Once he realized I was in the room he offered me a sweet smile. I gave him a similar smile as he climbed back out the window. He turned to me and said, "I know you think I'm a jackass who just wants to get in your pants, but I promise I'm not. You're a great person no matter what people say or have said about you. You don't give a shit about what people think. You say what you mean & you know what you want. I admire you Amnesia. You're an amazing person. I just hope you'll be able to let me get past those walls. Even if it's just a crack, I'll take it. I'll wait." And with that Grayson Dolan left outside my window.
I sat on my bed with a smile slowly creeping on my face. Who would've thought Grayson Dolan would be the one to make me smile.
I felt my phone beginning to buzz and I quickly grabbed it and unlocked it to see I got a text message.
Can't stop thinking of you. Hope to see you soon.
-NoahThis might be my favorite chapter yet. It was short but sweet. Longer chapters ahead I promise :) and possibly another update later on today ;)
