Sitting in a car with so much tension is the equivalent of drowning. Grayson insisted on driving me home & I think we were both now discovering how much of a mistake that was. We've been sitting here for the past 30 minutes in complete silence, we haven't even left his house yet. I wanted to speak up & ask him why we were just sitting here but the tension would slap me in the face every time I tried to open my mouth.

"What do I do in order for you to trust me again?"

"You're literally asking me this two weeks after you & your brother fucked me over, & it's not just the fact you did it because I know you didn't have much of a choice, it's the fact that you didn't tell me."

"If I told you you would've never talked to me again."

"You're right. Now it's too late because I can't imagine not talking to you, asshole." Grayson's chuckle filled the tension & I fought back my smile.

I turned my body so I was facing him, "you wanna gain my trust?" He nodded as his eyes flickered from my eyes to my lips. I tried to ignore the feeling that was growing in my stomach so I wouldn't blush. "Than show me you're someone I can trust." Grayson turned his attention back towards his house like he was thinking. "I wanna take you to a party this Saturday."

"Why on earth would I go to a party?"

"Because it's where Andy hurt you." My stomach dropped & I had to look out the window. "And I want you to trust me, so let me take you to a party."

"You're out of your fucking mind."

"I know, but not as much as you." I glared at him.

"I have to think about it." I said in a near whisper. I rolled my eyes when I saw the small smile on Grayson's lips.
