The girls arrived just in time to see Remus fall to the ground, dead. Delilah screamed as if she had been stabbed with a white hot branding iron. James and Sirius launched themselves at an unknown death eater only to be thrown against the wall with wandless magic. Delilah laid Nessa in a shadow and turned into her half wolf form and attacked Lucious Malfoy only to be shot with the killing curse halfway through the air. Rose gave a scream of outrage before the death eaters disappearated, happy with the result of thier mission.
All the marauders and Lily fell silent in their time of mourning.

"LYLA! NESSA! JAMES! LILY! SIRIUS! LETS GO!" Called Rose Black from the front door, waiting as her family joined her, Nessa fiddled with her rose quartz ring that Delilah left her while Lyla moved her half-shaved hair out of her face.

As they got to the cemetery, Nessa smiled sadly as she stepped forward.
"Hey mom. Hey dad. I don't really know what to say, not like I knew you. I know you were both responsible, I know you were both werewolves. I know I'm not. But that's all I know really. I wish I knew more. God do I wish I knew more. Is it wrong for me to hate you for being gone? Is it wrong of me to hate you guys for leaving me? Maybe it is. Maybe it's normal. I don't know. Not like I'm normal. God I wish I was normal. Why aren't you here? I want you to be here." She stood up and sighed as she walked away, Lyla and Luis following her into the woods.
The adults glanced sadly at the beautifully carved headstones as they walked away slowly to get ready for the ball that night. Never quite recovered from the shattering lose of their friend, mother, sister, and aunt.
