-Your Pov-

"Ow." You protested as your little brother poked your side.

"So what did you do?" He asked sitting back slightly away from you.

"I fell. I might, just maybe, have dropped a sock on the stairs when I was taking the washing down."

"Maybe not." Your brother joked.

"Yes Ben, because a sock would just suddenly appear on my stairs to trip me up wouldn't it?" You replied sarcastically. You really didn't have time for his silly little jokes.

"I told you to buy a basket." Your mum chimed.

"Yes mum, thank you." You said, trying not to get annoyed with the constant going on about the blooming washing basket. "Stop it." You shouted batting your brother's hand away from your swollen ribs.

"So what did the doctor say?" Your mum asked picking up a pillow from the sofa opposite you, plumping it up and then proceeding to sit down.

"He just said its fractured or something. I don't remember. They've given me some painkillers but they can't do anything about it. I just have to take it easy, you know wait for it to get better."

Your mum just shook her head and sighed. "You're going to have to take better care of yourself Y/N." You just smiled at her as she sighed again. She got up, picking up her bag and ushering your brother up as well. You walked them both to the door and opened it for them, wincing slightly, but trying to make it into a smile.

"Do you have to go again?" she questioned.

"In a few weeks, yeah. Just to check it's all fixed right. But not yet.  Like I said just need to take it easy."

Your mum opened the car and your brother jumped in the back where he normally sat in his car seat. Your mum opened her door and stood talking to you over it. "Have you told Laurenyet?" she inquired.

"Erm...no. I don't see why I need to. I'm fine." You said shrugging it off.

"I'm sure she would like to know." She continued.

"Mum, its fine. I'm ok. Totally fine. OK? she'll just worry. It's fine." You insisted trying to get her to go as it was getting late now, but she just stood there and gave you a disapproving look. "Come on mum, you know what she's like, she'll worry. I'll be fine on my own."

You smiled at her one last time as she got into her car and pulled out of your drive where she was parked, your little brother waving from the back seat. You shut the door and returned to the sofa trying to find a comfortable position to have a nap in. Talking to your mum always did take all the energy out of you; she just went on and on.

You didn't notice falling asleep but was woken up by your phone buzzing underneath your head. You sleepily placed it next to your face and put it on loud speaker seeing it was Lauren.

"Halloo." You said sleepily, attempting not to yawn. You failed miserably and made a loud noise along with a long yawn.

"Been to sleep?" she asked, her Spanish accent ringing through making you smile slightly. You couldn't make out where she was; the sound in the background was unfamiliar; to be honest you couldn't care less, you focused on staying awake though your eyes threatened otherwise. You didn't answer her question so she continued. "How are your ribs?" This made you sit up slightly, causing another small wince in pain. "Are you ok?" she asked obviously concerned.

"Yeah I'm all good." You said, replying this time, still in slight shock. "How did you know?"

"Your mum called me. She said you'd broken your ribs when you fell down the stairs. Are you ok?"
