I made my way into school carrying my books. I finally reached my locker and found Lauren, my best friend since 2nd grade leaning against the locker net to mine, staring at me.

I have always had a crush on Lauren, ever since we became friends and yeah I know it sounds cliché but I honestly can't help it. I just wish she knew how I felt. But a part of me is scared that she will not feel the same.

Lauren cleared her throat and looked away. Hey Y/N" her cheeks were red at the realisation that she knew I knew she was staring at me. "hey Lauren where's Camila you usually come to school with her?" I asked, my voice nearly cracking when I mentioned Camila, Lauren's girlfriend.

"oh, I didn't tell you? We broke up yesterday," she replied shrugging like it was a casual thing to say. "what why do I have to slap a bitch? Did she hurt you in any way" I say as I clenched my fist in anger. I was always so protective of Lauren, especially when it came to girls that she dated. She chuckled and shook her head.

"No I broke up with her. She just wasn't the right one. Anyway I've got my eye on this special someone." She mumbled watching me intensely open my locker, putting in my books.

I gulped visibly, looking at her out of the corner of my eye. I secretly hoped it was me." oh yeah? Who is it?" I replied turning to look at Lauren.

"Oh you know her pretty well." She smirked pulling your body's closer by your waist. Our chests were now touching as she smashed her lips against mine.

Butterflies and fireworks were erupting in the pit of my stomach, making my legs feel like jelly. I wrapped my arms around her neck and gently gripped the back of her hair.

We both pulled away, Lauren waited to catch her breath before speaking. "Y/N you've been my best friend forever and I've always loved you. I've never had the guts to tell you before but will you get make me the happiest person alive by letting me call you my girlfriend?" she asked caressing my cheek.

"one million billion times yes!" I you squealed jumping into her arms and placing your lips on hers once more.
