Castiel's POV
"Are you riding with me today, Cas?" Gabriel asked in a monotone voice. I shook my head in reply.
"No thanks. Thanks for the offer though." I replied. He did a small head nod and faked a smile in my direction. "See you later, Gabe." He did another nod and left the dinning room we were standing in. After he left I mockingly said, "Oh see you later, Castiel." Quickly after saying that, Gabe shot me a death glare from the kitchen. Oh, snap he heard me. Awkwardly I waved and took off into the entryway.
I left the house quickly, the backpack hanging on my right shoulder and my left hand digging into my pocket. I pulled my neon green headphones out. I chuckled and mumbled, "They had wild sex in my pocket, more of a love life than I have." After untangle them, I plug them into my phone and blast the song Lovely by Twenty-Øne Piløts. Amazing song. Mumbling the lyrics I start walking to the bus stop that is around two and a half blocks away from my house.
While walking, I feel two hands grab my side and squeeze. I jump and yelp. The red-headed girl started laughing and walking next to me. I yank one of the earbuds out and look at her. The laughing slowed and turned into a cheeky smile. "I got you Cassie. I got you good," she said, her voice sounding sweet and cheerful.
"Yes you did Charlie, you truly did." A small grin spread across my face. Charlie, real name being Celeste Middleton, is only exactly a month older than me. Today she wore a Hufflepuff shirt. I chuckled, "Hufflepuff? I thought you were Gryffindor or even Ravenclaw, but Hufflepuff?"
"You know what, Hufflepuff is loyal and scary. They are honestly scary as crap. Besides i needed to wear a different shirt."
"So you mean other than The Hobbit, Lord of the Rings, and so on. Your other realm like stories with mythical creatures and magic. That honestly sounds amazing, sign me up man. Give me the Harry Potter books."
"Ah, yes I will. You will love them. They are an awesome escape." Her smile started to fade. She looked at me, more like looked up at me, her being roughly four and a half inches shorter than me. "Nice listening skills. I knew you could do it. The Cassie really does listen to me."
"Oh snap, we have a sass master over here." Her smile started to take place again.
"Oh you know it baby." She bit her lip. I swear she is one of the most attractive people I know. She could get whoever she wanted, besides the ladies. So far she is the only lesbian that I know. No I don't know any Bisexual people, besides Emma, but she isn't Charlie's type. She once told me, "I could convert some people, well it wouldn't be converting, it would be showing how gay they really are. I mean look at Emma, she knows she's bi because of me." And after she would say that, she would puff up her chest and strike a heroic pose.
We approached the bus stop, a few kids being there already. Carter, Cade, Nick, Chuck too, last but not least Jimmy. Jimmy, the youngest, but secretly my favorite, hugged me and buried his face into my stomach. "I didn't think you would come this late. What took you so long, Cas?" He mumbled into my lower stomach. "I really missed you over the summer. You should have came over more often." He let go and looked up at me expectantly.
"Sorry bud. I woke up a little late. And my family stopped to talk to me about expectations about this year." I had to lie a little bit. Not all of it is fibbing.
"Ah, ok ok. I see, I see." He returned to his original place and pulled out a DS. I swear this kid knows how to make me smile. He's around five or six years old. He's really dorky and short. He's one of the best things that have ever happened to me. Oh my, I just realized I'm talking about him like he's my child. I promise, he's not. He's just my little buddy, and I'm his big buddy. That's all to it.
While waiting for the bus, I stick my other earbud back in and glance at Charlie that is sitting on the bench, arms crossed, and smirking. She's up to something, and dear god that isn't good all the time. I hope it isn't anything bad. Oh, god I hope it isn't
The bus turned the corner quickly, all of us lining up for it. It stopped and opened the doors. While walking to the back of the bus, I notice a new face. This beautiful male had light, shaggy, brown hair with hazel eyes. I chuckled, this child won't last long. He seems too... innocent.
We sit down, me taking the window seat. With Guns For hands playing, Charlie waves a hand in front of me, her charm bracelet chiming. I quickly yank an earbud out and look at her. "Yes? You wanted me." She placed her bag on her lap. Barrier. Oh no. She looked at me with hopeful eyes
"What are you planning, Charlie?" I spat out.
"Funny you say that, Cas. I heard that there are new kids at the school. One of them are here now." I look up at the front of the bus. Him. "Yeah Cas, him. He has two older brothers, Adam and Dean Winchester. The one up there is Samuel, also known as Sammy or Sam."
"One, what does that have to do with you or me. And two, how do you know all of this?"
"I'm getting there, so shut up and listen. Do you remember Lisa?"
"Oh no... You have a thing for her don't you? Charlie, that's not going to end well." She smirked again.
"This is our second year of high school correct?" I nodded. "Well, last year I examined her, I even memorized her schedule."
"Cough cough, stalker, cough cough"
She chuckled, "You know it. But this year she is going to go after the Winchesters. I'm not letting that happen. Not one bit."
"How exactly do you plan to do that? How do you even know that she is going to take interest in you? Hmm?"
"She made out with one of her friends."
"So?"
"Several times. And rumor has it that she even had dry sex with her."
"Oh."
"Yeah, oh. She's going to be mine by the homecoming dance. And here is where you come in. At lunch she is going to act all innocent and sit with the Winchesters."
These "mastermind plans" don't always work out for her. This should be interesting.
"Before they go to the deli, they are going to stand and talk for a moment. We are going to approach them slowly, but not close enough for them to notice us. You're going to stand in position a." She pulled out a small map of the lunchroom. Holy hell, she planned this through. She pointed at a spot near the table that they are going to be at. "And I'll be at position b." She pointed at a spot a few yards away from point a. "I will start walking at a fast pace, then start running. When I near you, you'll stick your foot out and trip me. But you have to make it look like an accident. I'll go flying and either bump into her, or full on crash. You got it?"
"Whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa. What's in it for me? There should be a reward for participating in your strategic plan."
She smirked, "I knew you were going to ask that." She pulled out a marble bag and tossed it onto my lap. "Open it. You won't regret it. I promise you that. You get the rest if you participate."
Hesitantly I opened it. "What the... Smarties? You do listen." I said the last part in a sarcastic tone. They were all unrolled and scattered in the bag. I pulled one out and looked her dead in the eyes. "I swear to God, if these are drugged or something, I will find you, and uhm, I wouldn't kill you, but I will destroy all of your video games. All of the Skyrim's, all the Fables. All of them."
She dramatically gasped, "You wouldn't"
"I would."
"Just try one," she chuckled. I tossed one into my mouth and sucked on it. Nothing wrong with them. I let out a sigh of relief.
"Hey, that's pretty good. They aren't poisoned or drugged or even roofied. I'm in for it, only if you promise not to back out."
She placed her right hand on her chest and her left one in the air. "I solemnly swear that I will not back out of this agreement. But if a change of plans happen, or if something goes wrong, I get to."
"That's fair enough."
As the bus was pulling to a stop. I toss a few more Smarties into my mouth and walk off.
Can't wait till lunch.
