Artemis x Reader (Seeing Stars)

Geez. I haven't updated in forever. I'm so sorry everyone.

You laid down in the wilting grass that tickled your back. The grass smelt of rain and the sweet smell of flowers.

The air around you was chilly and you shivered up into your arms.

You looked up into the blue and purple sky, watching the colors mold together to create an elegant after look, and with the stars brightening up the sky. It was simply breathtaking.

That's when she walked up to you.

"(Y/N) . . . You'll freeze out here" said the lady in a concerned tone.

"Don't care" you replied hastily, attempting to ignore the goddess next to you. You noticed her cross her arms when you glanced at her slightly, which made you frown.

"What is wrong with you? You never were like this" Artemis asked you.

You sighed "he died" you explained sadly. "Oh I understand, Will was somewhat a brother to you, am I correct?" Lady Artemis questioned.

You nodded "yeah . . . He was" you said softly, chocking on your words.

She sat down, taking your hand and and humming quietly, staring out into the stars.

"If you think about it . . . He can still take care of you, he can watch over you, help you with your decisions, you're not left alone, you just got to listen more closely."

You didn't understand what that meant, but when you looked over at her, she was gone, gone in a wisp of smoke.

'You just got to listen more closely.'  What does that mean?

You didn't know, you didn't understand it.

Yet as if you were forced to, you closed your eyes, cleared your mind and relaxed.

That's when you saw him, smiling and waving from the stars. You heard his voice echo though the night.

He may not physically be here with you now, but maybe, just maybe, he was still with you in another form.
