The Aftermath

Veronica POV
Seeing them fight each other was shocking. They used to be best friends. What has happened. I lead Vince to the car. He clicked his seatbelt in and sighed.
"What happened?" I ask in serious concern
He didn't answer.
"Can we talk about later?" He said with pain in his eyes. "Sure" I answer back
The Twins House
I helped Vincent up to my bathroom. I took out a fresh dishcloth and wiped the blood of his face. Nessa's walks by the open door and looks in.
"What happened to you?" She said with a confused look
"I got in a fight." He answered
"How" she said raising her voice
"Ok, look. Aaron is my new partner at the precinct and he broke your heart. I'm not going to let him get a easy life after that."He said
I think it's extremely cute how he cares about Vanessa so much.
"Vincent you don't have to do that. I can fight my own battles." She said with sadness in her eyes
"I know I just-Ow!" He winces in pain as I pat the gash on his lip.
"Anyways, Vanessa you are like a sister Ive never had. I need to protect you and Veronica." He said
"No. You have to protect Roni. I can protect my self." She said.
"But-" Vince try's to say
"Nope not another word." Vanessa says
"Well, to lighten the mood, babe I think you need stitches on your lip." I say
"Ughhh. Fine. Let's go" he says
"I'll drive!" Nessa's says faking a smile
At the Hospital
"This will sting, so be prepared." The nurse says
"Ow." Vince says with sorrow. I wish I got to them sooner before the fight
1 hour later
We all start to walk out of the hospital, when I see a familiar face. It was Aaron. His hand was patched up with bandages. His expression was a mix between sadness and anger. This is going to be awkward. He spots us. His eyes widen as if I scared him. He hesitated to walk up to us and eventually gave up. I look at Nessa and Vince. They don't see him and keep talking to each other. I look at Aaron one more time. He looks back up at me and try's to say something. I shake my head no. We proceed to walk away and jump into the car.
Aaron POV
I get in my car with tears forming in my eyes like droplets on a faucet. I saw Vanessa for the first time in 3 months. I regret everything I did and said on that day. But I know I can't go back to her. She looked so happy and cheerful with the both of them. I open the glove compartment and a picture of us fall out. I grab it and see how happy the both of us were at that time. I see a tear stain fall down onto the photo. What have I done.
Vanessa POV
We get home peacefully. I watch Vincent and Roni sitting on the couch with his arm around her. All my pushed down emotions come flooding in remembering the times Aaron and I used to do that. I ran to my room and locked the door. I tried to run to my bed when I tripped over a box. I looked back and saw the pictures of Aaron and I in the box. I stuff my face into my hands and start to sob. I wonder if I could have done something to prevent all of this.
