The Beginning of The End

The Case

Vincent POV
I looked into his face as I awkwardly shake is hand.  
  "So, because you've had enough experience at the be precinct, I am finally giving you a case Vincent!" The chief said to us with a shine in his eyes.
  "Great! What is it?" Aaron asks. Maybe it was because he hurt Vanessa, I hated him at the moment in time. I looked at him rolling my eyes.
  "Let me look at the file. Um...A crime boss escaped jail blah blah blah. Here his "boss name" is El Diablo." Chief says again.
I look up in shock.
   "Well you guys better get to work on that." He walks away. I can't believe this. Is this bastard following me?

Aaron POV
Great! I have a case on my first day! I look over at Vincent. He's giving me a look of disgust. Before I broke up with Vanessa, we were best friends. He totally hates me now.
  "So can we start on the case?" I ask.
"Are you stupid? Of course." He said back to me. Yup, he totally hates my guts. I looked at his file. It said that he was a crime lord back in Missouri before he was caught by a detective named Kane Abernathy. I looked at all the pictures that were in the folder. Then I realized, Kane looks just like Vincent. I looked up at Vince examining his face. Then he looked back at me.
  "What the hell are you looking at buddy?" He said.
   "Sorry." I said. He rolled his eyes again and looked back at the computer.
"Vincent?" I say to him."What?" He says with an angry tone.
  "Why do you look like this guy?" I show him the picture of Kane. His angry look fades into a shocked look.
  "Come here." He grabbed me and brought me into the hall.
"Okay. I've told The twins this but I have never told anyone else. My parents died in fire when I was three..."(you guys probably know the backstory so I won't type it up again) "Wow that's... intense." I say. "No shit, idiot." He aggressively says to my face and walks away. What is the problem with this guy.
5 hours later
6:00 PM
We have been looking and trying to pinpoint where "El Diablo" is for hours now. We've still got nothing but it's our first day ok the case I think it's fine. I walk out of the building with Vincent in front of me. He's been grumpy and mad this whole day. I need to confront him. I walk up to him with confidence.
  "Dude what is your problem? We used to be friends." I said.
"You know what my problem is? My problem is you!" He yells back at me
"What?" I scream back.
"You broke Vanessa's heart and your acting like that never happened. That why I have been avoiding you with this case. He says.
"Well your being unprofessional for making our personal lives effect the way we work! And the thing with Vanessa never involved you so back off!" I say back
"I'm not going to back off! That was my girlfriends sister! And I care about her unlike you. And if you never came to my precinct with your brother, we would have never had this conversation in the first place!" He yells back. "You know what? I can't even believe you are even a cop!  My parents died and I want to avenge them and make them proud! You are such a cliche! I argue back. He stood there with his back turned. He turned around  with a furious look on his face.
"You messed up!" He yells he comes running at me and punches me in the face. I punch back even harder. Now, we are in a full blown fist fight. He pinned me up against the brick wall. I fought back and pushed him off. Before any of us could throw another punch, Veronica come running up.
"What are you guys doing?!" She pulled us apart. Both of our faces bleeding and bruised. "Aaron?" She said to me with a puzzled face. I couldn't say anything. She looked so disappointed in both of us. She walked with Vincent by her side. This is my first day and everything is messed up already
