Resentment

Aaron POV
The next day, chief led Vincent and I into his office. My hand was hurting like crazy but I had to go on.
"So, I heard about your mishap yesterday." He said with an angry face. "I know you two aren't in kindergarten anymore, so you should be able to talk this out. So, I am going to keep you guys as partners. He said
Vincent let out a big sigh. His face was filled with a boiling rage. "I'm not saying you have to listen to one another. I'm just saying that you guys have to solve this case. This man puts lives in danger. You have to solve it." Chief says again. He dismisses us and we walk back to our desks. I look at Vincent and notice his stitches on his lip. And I realize. I did that.
4 hours later. 12:00 pm
"There has been a mall that has been shot up! We have to get down there immediately! There have already been 13 deaths. Come one! Now!"
I start to stand up until my brother stops me."Bro, I've got this. Stay here with Vincent." He says and walks away. I breath in and out trying to calm my nerves. Alec has always been someone who can't take no for an answer. I look up at Vincent again. He looks really in the "zone".You know what I mean?
3 hours later 2:00pm
Vincent POV
The crew has been gone for hours now. I really hope they are okay. I'm working on my computer when I get a text from our chief. I was confused. I started to read what he was saying and it made no sense
Vincent Chief

Come fkfon tot the small now
Chief what the hell?
What are you talking about?
I go over to Aaron and ask him to check up on any new information. He walks up and leaves.

Can't your readsad? Come dwoqn to eht mall!
He texts.

I get up and run to my car. I drive down and swarms off people are running away from the building. I look around and spot the chief. I swiftly run over to him. "Why did you need me here?" I ask. "Because you are on this case, does that look like the guy?" He responds. In my own opinion, he had no need to freak out like that. I try to see the man but his face is blurred from all the smoke. But finally, I make out a clear face. It's him. He looks back at me and smiles. He points the gun at me as I proceed to duck. After that, all I could hear was gunshots. My breathing gets static. My head starts to feel light. I look over to the parking lot and see Aaron. My eyes widen in surprise. "Chief! Aaron is here!" I shout
"What?" He looks over and sees him. He runs over to us. And ducks. Before he gets to say anything, we here a low scream. We look over and we Alec on the ground covering his chest. Aaron leaps over to him avoiding any bullets
"Alec! No! You aren't going to die today! You hear me!" Aaron yells out. At this point the criminals have gotten away and there was nothing we could do. "Aaron...tell dad that I love him-" Aaron interrupts. "No! You are not going to die!" Arron shout again "Tell me where it hurts." He asks. "I think the bullets near my heart!" Alec says. "I will tell mom that you love her. I love you brother. Thank you..." Alex breaths his final words. Aaron's breathing get slower. He holds his hands and starts to sing. "You are my sunshine..my only sunshine. You make me happy when skies are grey.." I could see the tears dripping down from his faces."you'll never notice how much I love you"
                              Flashback
Aaron: 6 years old
Alec: 3 years old
Aaron tucks Alec into bed. "Want me to sing you a song?" Aaron asks his younger brother
"Yes!!!" Alec says in excitement
"You are my sunshine, my only sunshine
You make me happy when skies are gray
You'll never know dear, how much I love you
Please don't take my sunshine away..." Alec eyes start to drop into a deep sleep "goodnight little bro" Aaron walks out of the room.
