This day and age people are connected to their phones and gadgets. There's no true conversation or connection going on. We are always distracted by screens. As followers it's important to connect with God and spend time with Him.
God wants us to truly connect with Him. He's very jealous of the time we spend on our phones rather than with Him. He wants us to spend time in His word, and talk with Him. This is important because if we don't talk with we God we lose sight of our path. God doesn't want that for us, so instead of being on social media for 30 minutes spend time with God. It can be simple as talking with Him, singing praises to Him, you can even get a devotional. That way everyday you have something new to learn about God, while spend time with Him. God wants us to serve Him and put Him first. Seeking Him in all that we do.
Matthew 6:24
"one can serve two masters, for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to the one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and money."
Matthew 6:33
" seek first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
