Chapter Seventeen: Connection

"Charge!" Slappy commanded. At the sound of that, the three villains started running...or floating...or teleporting towards each other, yelling and shouting.

"I have skill!"

"I have power!"

"I have chi!"

Suddenly, they stopped. White light shone down on them, making it possible for them to see exactly what each other looked like. They all stared at one another in disbelief.

"You are Bill Cipher?" Slappy and Kai said at once.

"Yes, you puny mortals!" Bill replied proudly. "Now that you see me, you both are terrified of me."

"Oh, yes. Yes we are," Slappy said.

"Please do not hurt us!" Kai pleaded.

"We will do anything!"

"Anything!"

That is what Bill thought was going to happen. Begging. Slappy and Kai chuckled to themselves.

"What is so funny?" Bill asked.

"You...you look like a dorito!" Kai exclaimed, laughing.

"A dorito?" Bill questioned them. He was starting to get impatient with these two.

"You obviously have never seen a dorito?" Slappy added, laughing his creepy, high-pitched laugh. Bill was about to respond harshly, when Slappy interrupted him.

"Wait a minute," he said, forcing himself to stop laughing. "Did you say your name was Bill Cipher?"

"Yes," Bill responded, who was already on the edge of turning Slappy and Kai both into nothing but dust.

"Bill Cipher," Slappy whispered to himself. "Where have I heard of that name before?" Then he remembered.

"Hey, Cipher guy. Do you know two kids?" Bill frowned down at him. "You will have to be more specific than that, puppet boy," he answered. Slappy narrowed his eyebrows upon hearing him calling him 'puppet boy.' He took a deep breath and then let it out slowly.

"These twins," he explained. "If I recall, they said their names were---"

"The Pine twins?!" Bill nearly exploded. He despised those twins so much, ever since they ruined his plan. "Dipper and Mabel?!"

Slappy and Kai were surprised at Bill Cipher's reaction.

"That is what they called themselves," Slappy finished his statement.

"Those dumb Pines ruined everything!" Bill exclaimed with anger. "My plan was going so great - until they ruined it! When I find them, I will destroy them completely, along with the person who transported me here so I would not finish destroying the town the puny mortals down there call 'Madison.'"

"Madison?!" Slappy exclaimed.
