Fifteen minutes later, Shelly and the villains arrived at Barnes & Noble. Bill Cipher and Kai quickly got out of Shelly's car.

"Kai, please be careful!" Shelly warned. "This car is fairly new, and I do not want you to scratch it with your horns or with your sharp blades."

Kai nodded and stepped out of the car. For some unknown reason, he kind of liked Shelly - not like Slappy though. Maybe it was because she understood his pain. She understood what he was going through.

Maybe it was because she was fun to be around with.

"What was it that Shelly said back at the restaurant?" the Taker of Chi said to himself, trying to remember.

"Look, boys, I know that it is fun talking and hanging out with me."

Oh. So that is what Shelly was talking about.

Back at the car, Shelly was pulling out something from the passenger's side.

No. Someone...

...wrapped up in a towel.

"Good thing that Slappy is asleep," Shelly whispered under her breath. "Otherwise, he would burn every book in that store right now." She slowly closed the passenger's door, so she would not wake up Slappy, and walked towards the entrance of Barnes & Noble, cradling the puppet in both of her arms.

"He is so cute when he sleeps," the young girl stated.

"Hold on - what am I saying? I do not love him - do I?"

She then noticed Slappy taking her left hand and placing it next to him, snuggling with it. Shelly smiled down at the sleeping puppet.

"He certainly is cute - but I do not love him."

Meanwhile, Bill and Kai were in the kids' section, taking out books and putting them back in the wrong place. It was easy for Shelly to find them, considering the fact that they were the only fictional characters in the bookstore, and also that one was a talking dorito and the other was glowing green like heck.

"Bill! Kai!" Shelly called as she ran towards them, trying to keep Slappy from awakening. "What are you guys doing?"

"We are taking out what-may-be-interesting books," the yak answered. "If it turns out that the books are not interesting, we just stick them back somewhere on the shelf."

"I can see that," the young girl said, looking down at the mess of books that were scattered on the floor.

"Hey, what is this book?" the triangle stated as he pulled out another book and looked at the cover.

"Ooh."

"What is that book called?" the Beast of Vengeance asked, curious of the answer.

Bill turned to look at the puppet, who was sleeping soundly in Shelly's arms. "I think that Slappy will surely love this book."

"Why?" Shelly questioned the talking dorito.

"Because the title of this book is 'Goosebumps: Night of the Living---"

"No!" Shelly screamed.

"'Dummy!'"

Immediately, Slappy woke up - and had a flaming match in his right hand.
